Thread: Protests

I honed right in on the "erase all debt" demand. Sounds like a bunch of homeowners that got in over their heads in a mortgage and are looking for Government forgiveness of their just debts. In this case it is a bunch of kids who realize that maybe borrowing thousands of dollars in a speculation for a good job later wasn't such a brilliant idea after all.

Ya pays your money and takes your chances. (Or your lumps. Whichever way it works out. There ain't no guarantees in life and damn sure no "rose gardens".) I don't care WHAT the Government tries to tell you.

I found an article that mentioned who is feeding the freeloaders. I'm on my phone so I can't quote it. But apparently there is a pizza delivery place that us taking online orders and delivering then to the protestors. They mentioned that a lot of orders have come in from western Europe, Wisconsin, and LA. So it is the unions, Hollywood and the socialists trying to tear our country apart.

On a side note, isn't it Wisconsin and California that won't recognize any other states CCW permits? Maybe the "48 States of America" would be better.

Make that 47. Do we really need Illinois?

Make that 46. Oregon is also on that list.

I'm in contact with a few of the people involved in the local versions, but I can't get a plain answer out of them. A lot of talk about corporate greed and government oversight, but everything is very vague. Nothing like the ten demands people are claiming to have read, and which I cannot find connected to the group anywhere. I think most of that was pulled out of the air.

Google first and then feel free to call someone out on what they have said.

I will say one thing. The admin note and bold statement saying these are not official demands was not there when I first read the list and I don't recall it being a forum. I will have to check my browser history at home. But then again who wouldn't make an edit when you get caught being an idiot. And localgirl, if you have been in contact with these people make sure you wash with plenty of soap. Even if you just dip your hand in the toilet, it's still the toilet.

"This is not an official list of demands. This is a forum post submitted by a single user and hyped by irresponsible news/commentary agencies like Fox News and Mises.org. This content was not published by the OccupyWallSt.org collective, nor was it ever proposed or agreed to on a consensus basis with the NYC General Assembly. There is NO official list of demands."

Well, I'm going to have to go with that. And there's no difference between what these people are doing and what the TEA Party did. It's their right to assemble and protest. I would like to know just what the heck they want, but regardless, it's their right.

You need to remember that the Constitution was built to accept things like this, and was also built to accept change if that's what the majority of the population wants. Do I think a swing over to Socialism is a good idea? Not really. But the truth is, if that's what most Americans want, that's what they will get.

You have to either believe them psychic or admit that comment was added after the fact.

And to clarify one other thing they say, they claim to be the 99%, there is no 99%. There is the 1% they are protesting, the other 46% that pays taxes and they are the 53%!

They are the same as the Tea Party in that they have the mentality that they will take their toys and go home if people don't play by their rules, but this is an attempt to scare purple into getting what they want. This is the adult equivalent if holding their breath til they turn blue.

These idiots will only get what they want if no one stand up and tells then to stfu.

And just for the record. I am the 46%.
