There used to be a dozen people working to support the average retiree, now it's believed to be three for every retiree. I will not put on the "I paid into it a little at a time and therefore I'm covered for taking big bucks for twenty or more years" blinders.
Not to be addicted to logic to any great extent..... BUT:

    1) The day I retired, I looked at the amount of money I and my employers over the years had put into the SS "system". At the rate I was/am drawing back those inputted funds, I won't be "using" anyone elses' money until after I turn 72..... with the provision that I make it that far. (I didn't bother to calculate what I and my employers MIGHT have earned in interest/investment value over those years if the Government had not made it mandatory to keep it within the "family".)

    2) Last figures I saw, the SS system takes in more than the outgo to recipients..... that was expected to last until 2017. I suspect, because of the economic mess we are still suffering the aftereffects of, that has been shortened a bit. Suffice it to say that sooner, rather than later, the SS outgo will exceed the revenue flow. That will have two immediate effects. The first being that the Government, who has been "sweeping" the annual excess out of the SS system and into the general fund, since forever (it seems), will have a source of funds denied them. Second, they will have to come up with a method by which they can fund the shortfall of "system needs", like Medicare and some of the other "self funded" welfare systems in place.

    3) Last figures I saw, the Government owes some 2.6 TRILLION dollars to the SS "fund" and has placed IOUs to the SS system in place of the money they have "swept" out of the system over the years. THIS amount is accounted as part of the National Debt.

    4) If the Government "honors" those IOUs over time by funding the "system" and reducing the IOU totals accordingly.... By the time the IOUs are paid off, incrementally, the year will be around 2037, last I had hard figures on. (Figure THAT, too, has been shortened a bit!)

    5) This is not so much a "welfare" system as it is a Governmentally contracted promise. We tax you thusly for all your working life and you will receive some sort of pension after you retire. The "voters" bought into the "program" and that has been the long and short of it since.

    6) The "potential problems" with the entire sytem, i.e. outgo exceeding revenues, has been an actuaried fact for at least thirty years, once the "bean counters" discovered that the demographics (and family size) had changed as of the "Boomer" generation. For ALL this time, Congress COULD have made changes to the system to keep it solvent, even with the demographic changes. They, in their infinately short sighted event horizon (i.e. Next election) did not. The "third rail" of politics, remember?

    7) So, the only burning question over the whole mess is HOW the Government is going to treat the expenditures that will be necessary to fund the system after the outgo > revenue point is reached. Will they account for it as a "pay down" on the SS IOUs being held by the system? Or will they just "write off" the IOUs and fund the system from general funds in perpetua (or until they can get revenues > outgo?)

    8) The latter seems the "politically expediant" way to go. It will immediately reduce the National Debt by some 2.6 Trillion (about a year and a half of current deficits), it will "save" interest being paid on those notes, will in no way affect HOW the SS recipients are paid, the shortfall coming from general funding, either way, and can be contorted by the propaganda machine to make it look like an actual Debt Reduction. A BIG Party "feather in the cap." (Even if is IS pure BS.)

    9) I think the LAST thing the Government can do is to betray the SS "contract" altogether, unless they can come up with an alternate, equally palatable method of retirement savings.

    10) As it stands, and the way it is being treated, it will become just another "welfare system" in the near future. As if we already don't have enough of them bankrupting the Country. (... and the entire welfare mess HAS taken on the appearance of a GRAND "third rail" that cannot be touched. Which, of course, will eventually bankrupt the Country.)

"How blissfully we allow ourselves to be brought to the maw of complete fiscal/financial collapse....." "Walk right in.... Set right down..." (To appropriate music)

There is Hope against the Marxist Agenda

If You like I are losing faith in the Republican Party and are starting to give up hope for Our Country, Our Freedom, and the Future of Both.

If you feel we are being lead like sheep to slaughter.

You need to listen to Allan West's message.

Why are there more Homeless Veterans than Homeless Illegal Immagrants

We have become a Nation of Entitlements-599974_10150901398629037_1518338504_n.jpg

    Answer:
Illegals get better benefits because they are a big part of the Government Dependency group that keeps the Liberal "Do Nothings" in Office.
Most Veterans are strong minded independent Individuals that the Government can't get control of.

Also Veterans have an Identification so they can only vote once.

To: President Obama and all the Health Care “Yea” voting members of the Legislature

To: President Obama and all the Health Care “Yea” voting members of the Legislature along with those agreeing with them in the Supreme Court.

It is now official you are ALL corrupt morons:

    * The U.S. Post Service was established in 1775. You have had 234
years to get it right and it is broke.

    * Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years
to get it right and it is broke.

    * Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get
it right and it is broke.

    * War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it
right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred
to "the poor" . We are now in the 3rd. Generation of Welfare dependency, and they only want more.

    * Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 44
years to get it right and they are broke.

    * Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to
get it right and it is broke.

    * The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our
dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a
budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before.
You had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.

You have FAILED in every "government service" you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars.

NOW: YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM??

I used to feel guilty about collecting Social Security even though I paid into the system for 50 years. Since I was self employed I paid both the employee and employer share. I no longer feel any guilt, however, since I now am paying 15% income tax on my retirement income, including Social Security. I pay an additional 20% in property taxes and approximately another 10% in other assorted taxes. Even though I am a retired senior citizen I feel very good about paying 45% of my income to help the parasites feeding off of the system.

At one time the Federal Government survived only on excise taxes. The people had real freedom ; and politicians didn't have lifetime employment with huge pensions. People had self respect and either worked or went hungry. And hunger can be an amazingly effective incentive. Any really needy people were helped through local charities and churches. And the locals were easily able to separate the truly deserving from those who were lazy or had some sort of substance abuse problem. If we don't get back to a system where self reliance is a virtue, everything earlier generations were able to achieve will disappear. And our liberty and security will also evaporate. One needs to look no further than Europe to understand the fate of "social democracies ".

    Letter To Speaker Boehner

    Dear Speaker Boehner,

Since 51 percent of the people voted to keep President Obama in office, So Called Republicans like you feel they need to support his call for higher taxes because it is “the will of the people" which is Balogna.

Republicans buying into this are leading us down the path to Socialism.

The Declamation of Independence and the Constitution all started because of Taxation without Representation.

    Our situation is different.
We do have representation, but that representation is being manipulated by people who are being paid for their vote.

Mr. Boehner why did you remove Kansas Rep. Tim Huelskamp, Rep. Walter Jones of North Carolina from the chamber’s Financial Services Committee, Freshman Rep. Dave Schweikert of Arizona from the Financial Services Committee, and Freshman Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan from the Budget Committee?
Did You remove Tea Party Conservative Republicans from key committee posts because they kept their Oath of office and also voted the will of the People?

When real issues like capping the debt ceiling, defunding Obama Care, or walking away from tax increases that everyone knows will do nothing except give the Government more money to waste, you fold like a paper towel. Do you think we are stupid and believe all these bills passed in Congress and never brought to the Senate floor pacify us?

Maybe it is time to create a Party For the People, the Republican Party is becoming a joke.
