We have become a Nation of Entitlements

We have become a Nation of Entitlements with many special interest groups that receive preferential treatment from our elected representatives.

Some of these representatives lie to the American People and to Congress witch should be a felony but that is just politics.

In our new social justice department if we disagree with a black man we are racist, but if a black man violates our voting rights, he is protected by the 1st. Amendment.

The government spends millions to assure that criminals are comfortable and rehabilitated but do nothing to compensate the victims.

In public schools you can teach about the Muslim Faith but you can’t say the word God or read from the Bible.

We protest the execution of convicted murderers and try to eliminate the death penalty, but we condone the killing of millions of unborn innocent children.

We no longer teach American History we now preach the Social Goodness of Government in our public schools.

We have successfully removed the Communist and Socialist treat from our Nation, but have replaced it with Progressivism.

We are unable to protect our boarders, but have no problem protecting the 38th parallel in South Korea.

If you burn the flag or condemn George Bush it is your 1st. Amendment right, but if you condemn Barrack Obama you’re a “Racist” and a “Terrorist“.

You can hang pornography in our public museums, but you had better not hang the Ten Commandment in Your Court House.

We can use human fetus for medical experiments, but it is wrong to use animals.

We take money from and punish those that work the hardest and hand it over to award those that work the least.

We have freedom of speech as long as it is politically correct and the FCC hasn‘t taken control yet.

Now when there is a major crisis the President, places the blame where it best fits his Socialist Agenda, asks for more money, hands it to his friends, shuts down as many Private Sector enterprises as possible, adds several hundred new regulations to stiffel business, appoints a committee to establish fault, and heads for the golf course.

I watched Obama having a sit-down discussion with Latino leaders yesterday. I couldn't believe my ears when he stated that he was going to identify some Federal Parks as Latino zones.

I have Latino ancestry, thereby, I grant you full permission to use my zone. Be grateful whitey! (Kidding. Flame the prez, not me)

Actually it sounds like we have become a nation of self-centered whiners who think everyone else is the problem and no one deserves anything but us. When things get bad people need scapegoats and e pluribus unum becomes a foreign language.

    Angry Entitlements

You want to be careful using that word entitlements. I paid into Social Security all my life. 46 years as a Tool and Diemaker. I paid my social security payment wheter I wanted to or not. It was mandatory. My social security payments was paid in full by November each year. I am retired now and have social security to supplement my income and medical costs. I paid for that. I am entitled to it regardles of what you think.

Social Security is not an entitlement unless you didn't pay into it.

It wouldn't be in the trouble it is in today if the Government hadn't decided to start handing it out like candy to those that didn't pay into it.

The entitlement program recipients I refer to are now in their third generation of freeloaders.

Enjoy your retirement you deserve it.

Thanks, Rich. I just had a "light bulb" moment regarding "entitlements." I could not, for the life of me understand WHY people were so upset about collecting their social security "entitlements," until I saw the word "mandatory" in your next sentence. After all, the people who have made mandatory payments into Social Security their entire working-life are CERTAINLY ENTITLED to their payments! The ironic part of the "entitlements" (an economics term) issue is that things like Social Security, Medicare and Defense spending come from the "Entitlements" portion of the budget and must BY LAW be paid. Thus "entitlements" spending is MANDATORY. In other words Congress has to pass legislation and actually change the LAW in order to affect entitlement spending. This is a GOOD thing for those of us receiving Social Security and Medicare entitlements! So, when the govt talks about "entitlements" it is really just an economic term for that mandatory spending part of the budget.
Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia...Tenche Coxe, The Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788.

I don't see why greedy senior citizens should be more entitled to the money I earn than I am. I also get offended when people ask for a "senior citizen's" discount. There "discount" comes strait out of my paycheck every month in the form of the social security tax.

How do you figure "Senior Citizens Discounts" come out of your pay check? It has nothing to do with social security tax.

I have been paying Social Security since 1966. I'm not retired and I'm not getting any social security yet either. So suck it up son and hope that we get this out of control government spending stopped so you too may be able to re-coup some of your losses some day.
