Another person who fell prey to New Jersey's anti-gun mindset

Here is an article and a site describing an event in 2009, that led to an individual getting 5 years in prison convicted of weapons violations in New Jersey.

    ^^ This

They don't care about FOPA in NJ. I'd drive days out of my way to not pass through NJ if neccessary.

I'm a refugee from NJ. When I go back to visit family and friends (at least twice a year), the guns stay at home. NJ's rabid anti-gun attitude has convinced me that, should 822 ever become law, the state would counter it by becoming a "right denied" state like IL. There's no way they're gonna let all these out-of-staters come accross the border while packing.

The hardware is the same, but the software is vastly different.

Not to worry. Their ban on high-capacity magazines, fine and mandatory sentence for possession of EACH round of hollowpoint ammo should still rake in the $$ for them, given the increased flow of CCers (some ill-informed as to NJ Laws) likely to be traveling about the country in a state of blissful ignorance.

I question the wisdom of sleeping in a car loaded with firearms in a bank parking lot at 3am in the morning. What in the world was he thinking?

    but I repeat myself.
