Yes it is clearly a constitutional infringement and a Inalienable right.

It's called the Bill of Rights, not the Bill of Needs. I don't need a 100 kW Diesel 3-phase generator-- yet, but that doesn't mean I won't need one in the future. I'll be a lot easier to maneuver one into its position of pride in the basement during construction than after construction is over, and the larger the generator, the more efficient it is. And diesel, as opposed to gasoline or NG/Propane, is the world's first flex fuel engine, it'll burn damn near anything.
So, just because I'm one woman wanting to live in the middle of nowhere where the power may not be the most reliable, no one needs to be telling me I don't need a 100 kW diesel 3-phase generator if you have no concept of why I need it, what my values are, or how I choose to live my life.
Exact same goes for any form of weaponry. It's all about what I enjoy doing for recreation, the kinds of skills I would like to cultivate, the threats to my life, liberty, and sacred honor that I perceive.
When they "Nudge. Shove. Shoot.",
Don't retreat. Just reload.
The 2nd Amendment was created to ensure that the citizens of this country could not be disarmed pior to enslaving them (a corrupt government). Back when the Constitution was written, everyone (including the military) owned the same armanent, more or less.
Today, in order to be able to defend ourselves against a corrupt government, it's going to take more than .22LRs and a couple of pistols. The 2nd Amendment does not make ANY limitations on the type of guns we are allowed to own. And that includes automatic weapons.
You either accept the whole Constitution or none of it is valid. rockwerks, you may not have any use for a machine gun, and no one is forcing you to get one. But you are doing no one any favors by picking and choosing what you want to fight for. Either support the 2nd Amendment fully, or don't waste your time. Because after machine guns is coming pistols like my XD-40 (12 shots and a removal magazine), and then shotguns with more than 3 rounds, and then any gun you can conceal, and finally no guns at all.
Here's a quarter ($.25), buy a clue.

Rockworks, how do you know I do not need machine gun? You don't need a color t.v. but I bet you have one. Do you have a cell phone. They are pretty handy but you don't need one. We got along without them for years. If I have an enemy trying to kill me I need to want to have as good a weapon to defend myself as he has. I read the 2nd amendment again today and as far as I can see it still does not say "The right of the people to keep and bear arms, except a machine gun".
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house;by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith Heb.11:7
This guy says it very well...
My editors would like me to take a nuanced, clever stance on the Second Amendment.
I cannot.
No means no. Not means not.
Just like the First Amendment.
No infringement on Free Speech.
No mixing Church and State.
No Gun Control...
Second Amendment Makes Gun Control Unconstitutional, Period - John A. Farrell (usnews.com)
We need to let John Aloysius Farrell know we appreciate his efforts, and support of the unabridged second amendment...
