Man Charged With Terrorism For Criticizing School Security

History has shown us that one of the most dangerous things an individual can have in a totalitarian state is an opinion. In Hitler’s German, Mao’s China, or Stalin’s Soviet Union, it was always the same – have an opinion, go to jail.
What’s completely discouraging is that America is starting to be the same kind of state. People who are using their First Amendment free speech rights to raise important issues are increasingly finding themselves carted off to jail, or running the risk that their children will be wrenched from their arms and placed into the state system. A New Jersey mother discovered that when she was arrested after reading the Constitution at a public meeting; and a New Jersey father discovered it when he was interrogated and police threatened to remove his children after he posted a picture of his glowingly proud son with a hunting rifle. As too many people are discovering, speech in America is free only if you carry your “Progressive” card

Now, a disabled grandfather in Centerville, Iowa has made the same terrible discovery — in today’s American, if you have an opinion, you can go to jail. Brian
Davis is currently languishing in Appanoose County Jail, charged with felony threat of terrorism. Did he call a school and threaten to blow it up? No. Was he caught with bomb-making equipment in his garage? No. Did he call various American universities and try to have a “blow-out” reunion of all the former 1960s Leftist terrorists (some of whom participated in murder) who are now faculty members teaching our children? No.
What Brian Davis did do was tell his physical therapist that he was worried that his granddaughter’s school wasn’t properly secured against gunmen. Davis told WHOtv.13 in Des Moines that “he was making small talk with his physical therapist, complaining about what he considers to be lax security at his granddaughter’s school, when the therapist claimed Davis made a threatening comment about going into the school and opening fire.”

According to Davis, he was posing an obvious hypothetical about the school’s equally obvious vulnerabilities. “I never said that I would go in there and do something to those kids. I said anybody, any one person could go in there. Anybody.”
Davis does not have a criminal record, nor does he own a gun. Nevertheless, “to protect the children” (the Leftist’s favorite cry when it comes to decreasing individual rights, opening borders to illegal immigrants, or raising taxes), Davis’s bond was set at $50,000 cash, an amount so high that this older, disabled, very frightened man, is still sitting in jail – just because he expressed an opinion.

This is a very dangerous precedent. It becomes impossible to address societal problems if people are too frightened to raise their concerns. It’s apparent from the video that Davis is not some sophisticated Ivy Leaguer, who was expressing a smooth opinion that had been previously vetted by his attorney. He was a concerned grandfather who made an important point as best he could.

Hey libtards...If you try to deny me my 4th amendment rights by carting me off to jail for exercising my 1st Amendment rights, I WILL exercise my 2nd Amendment rights!

  5. Yeah, it's bad and getting worse.

  6. Citizens turning on fellow citizens. Isn't one of the many signs of tyranny? We need freedom fighters, so watch what you say around people you don't really know. Practice INFOSEC!
When all other methods of protest have been dismantled, the system leaves us with only two options: stand and fight, or kneel and beg for mercy. All you need to know is what YOU would do when faced with that choice.

This is what my spouse would say about this scenario. Well, ever since she found out I was from Just goggled it. Even the Ft Hood shooter was only charged with workplace violence and murder.
Due to the increased cost of Ammunition I will be forced to discontinue warning shots as of now! USAF Chief Master Sergeant, Retired, 1979-2005

Even Hitler later in the war commented on how people would turn on other people for either no reason or personal gain. That therapist was just looking for something and found a concern that he turned into a threat.

This is the kind of crap that makes it a good idea NOT to say any more to your health providers than absolutely necessary.
If they ask me about guns Im telling them its none of their damned business. I can find another doctor pretty damned easily.
