McCain: "I do not believe that the president has committed impeachable offenses..."

Does anyone still think McCain is a conservative? The farther we go down the road, the more liberal he becomes.

"With all due respect, I think this is a serious issue," said McCain on ABC's "This Week." "I will even give the president the benefit of the doubt on some of these things. We need a select committee... McCain also defended Obama against impeachment during a late February town hall, saying, "I do not believe that the president has committed impeachable offenses -- that's high crimes.""
Senator, you need to re-read the Constitution, Article II,Section 4: "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes AND MISDEMEANORS."

Edited: He is the NCA. The order to direct the State Dept. to entrust the security of our compound to Libyans whose numbers included those who are hostile to the US came from the President. The order for reinforcements to stand down once the attack commenced came from the NCA. He left our people in Benghazi to die. That is dereliction of duty, period. That is about as high as crimes come in this country. In fact, here is what I propose: as the CiC, he is the highest ranking officer in the US Armed Forces. I propose that he be relieved of duty, read his Article 32 rights, held over for trial before a military tribunal for his criminal dereliction of duty, and that he be joined by every officer who supported his illegal order to allow our people to die. He broke faith with those under his command, and the results were terminal for many.

I know, it will never happen. It's a pipe dream.

Ignore McCain he is a progressive, big government piece of crap. The one thing he fears the most is becoming totally irrelevant; and he already is. He has made himself a non person and richly deserves it. Lindsey Graham, Boehner, and several others deserve the same fate.

Constitution says "upon conviction." Despite his poor performance he's not been convicted of anything.

Understood. What I take issue with is McCain's statement that impeachable offenses only included "high crimes," when the Constitution clearly includes "high misdemeanors" as well.

Obama went on TV today and scolded everyone that thinks he lied about the attack on the US on Sept 11 2012 for political reasons.
He said that the hearings are being held for political reasons.
He we dishonor those that died by dragging this up. He neglected to say how he totally screwed them when they were alive, or that they died because of his incompetence.
Now, move along nothing to see here.

The one good thing from all of the headlines recently including Bloombergs mess is that the Anti Gun Zealots are right smack dab in the middle of it all.
There does seem to be a theme here:
Big Sis and Homeland Security targeting Patriots tea party and veterans rather than Islamic extremists.
IRS targeting Patriots tea party and veterans rather than Islamic extremists.
Obama allowing Islamic Extremists to kill State Department Employees rather than defending them against Islamic extremists.
Tolerance of the intolerant leads to the destruction of tolerance. “You are also reminded that any inappropriate remarks or jokes concerning security may result in your arrest,” in the land of the free.

Yes. Consider Clinton lying about an affair. Hardly a high crime but...

Oboyimanutjob is a socialist scumbag who should be arrested for treason, tried in a military tribunal, convicted, and sentenced to death by firing squad. If aiding and abetting the enemy isn't treason, what would you consider?
John McCain should be put in the same cell with him, because he is lying to support him, and is therefore, himself a traitor... in my humble opinion.
Being a Vietnam vet, McCain was once my hero, but when I watched the liar throw the election to the socialist, he became the same as a traitor to me. He should change his political party to demo-rat.
Stop, Drop, and Roll won't work in Hell.

  9. I don't think John McCain has never been a real conservative, the Republican party does not want "true conservatives" in positions of authority. I don't think a authentic conservative will ever have the opportunity to run for president for the Republican party. As far as impeaching Obama, the liberal media will continue to protect their poster child. Obama has either lied or omitted details about everything he has done, said, or proposed. America responded by re-electing him, so I think you can forget about any impeachment, he has been given full rein.
