MSM will finally get in the fray about AG Eric Holder?

Is it time to throw Eric Holder under the bus?

Attorney General Eric Holder could be in a bit of trouble over testimony regarding his involvement in Justice Department probes of journalists.

Are Attorney General Eric Holder’s days numbered?

That seems to be the question being debated today with some glee by Beltway pundits who make a living building up and tearing down people in public life. The nation’s gun owners, mindful of Operation
Fast and Furious – covered by this column and Examiner colleagues David Codrea and Kurt Hofmann for more than two years – could justifiably wonder what took them so long to have this debate.
Wasn’t it Holder who was quick out of the gate in early 2009, revealing that the Obama administration was considering renewal of the so-called “assault weapons” ban?
Wasn’t it Holder at the Justice Department helm when Fast and Furious unraveled into a political scandal that resulted in the death of an American civilian peace officer – Border Patrol agent Brian Terry – in the line of duty? That scandal was recently resurrected by an Inspector General's report on treatment of a whistleblower with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Wasn’t it Holder who resisted efforts by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform to obtain all of the documents it requested, and then subpoenaed on Fast and Furious? And didn’t Holder finally have to seek cover from Barack Obama in the form of executive privilege?
Just over one year ago, syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer, a Fox News regular, described Holder as a “political hack.”
It has taken the mainstream press a long time to focus on Holder, and it is only because the press saw its own ox being gored, and they know it. Holder is supposed to have an off-the-record meeting with press executives this week to try salvaging the situation.
The attorney general, the highest law enforcement officer in the land, may be in serious legal trouble over testimony he delivered before the House Judiciary Committee earlier this month that he was never involved in a decision to investigate a journalist, yet news reports quickly surfaced that he had actually signed off on a search warrant for the records of Fox News correspondent James Rosen. CBS News used the term “possible perjury” in todays’ headline story.
This revelation came days after it was revealed that the Justice Department had also been looking at the phone records of Associated Press reporters. There is no easier or faster way to infuriate the press than for the government to snoop into the activities of reporters, and there is invariably payback on a ten-to-one scale, as the current media fever affirms.
With at least three developing scandals currently plaguing the Obama administration, conservative pundits have been suggesting that the president may throw Holder under the bus simply for damage control. Many believe it should have happened a long time ago.
MEANWHILE, Washington gun owners lost a friend today with the passing of State Sen. Mike Carrell, the Lakewood Republican who has been a stalwart defender of firearms civil rights in the Evergreen State legislature. He died today at the University of Washington Medical Center.
Before his election to the Senate in 2004, Mr. Carrell spent ten years in the House of Representatives. The 69-year-old former teacher had been under treatment for what the Tacoma News Tribune called myelodysplastic syndrome, and last month he received a bone marrow transplant.
The only reason the MSM is really starting to investigate AG Holder is his snooping on their reporters. The rest of his illegal acts is fuel for their roasting him about his snooping.
Do y'all think this will finally get him to resign? (bold text in red are my comments)

I doubt the main stream media will willingly throw anyone in this administration under the bus unless there's enough overwhelming evidence of wrong doing. Then and only then will they eat their own.
