The Revolution actually began with the British attempt to confiscate the colonials' firearms at Lexington Green and Concord Bridge on April 19. Captain Parker gave his famous command, "Do not fire unless fired upon. But if they mean to have a war let it begin here." No one knows who fired the first shot, but it was the beginning for this country.

An untrained group of farmers and tradesmen defeated the world's best trained and equipped super power. The British were not beaten merely by force. They were defeated by an idea, the right of all men to freedom and individual liberty. And now we have a President and congressional progressives trying to deprive us of that God given liberty that many have fought and died for. What really angers me is that most in this Administration have contributed nothing to this country. Obama may have been born here, but was raised in a culture very hostile to U.S. ideals. And most of his mentors and his parents and grandparents were communists. He has proven himself to be openly hostile to our Constitution and all of our cultural ideals.
