Gay marriage (which I support), isn't being "forced" upon anyone. This, however, is and that's why I oppose it.

Most businesses (and wedding photography IS a business) have a right to refuse service to anybody. I have a daughter who is a very religious Christian and a wedding photographer. I'm guessing that she wouldn't have done it either. Their mistake was putting it out there that they were against gay marriage and then the couple was able to claim discrimination. The photographers shouldn't have had to, but maybe they should have just said they had a scheduling conflict.

If this goes to SCOTUS, then I see the court ruling in favor of the photographer on the same grounds it ruled in favor of the Boy Scouts' policy not to allow gay scoutmasters. No one has a "right" to join a private organization or do business with any private business. The plaintiffs in this case, rather than filing a lawsuit to try to force the photographers to do something they clearly oppose, should have just spent their money on a photographer who would.
