Please tell me how you would personally handle this situation... you know, the one in Boston when faced with about 10 armed LE agents with rifles pointed at you and wearing battle armor.

Battle armor does not stop 7.62X51 or 7.62X54R rounds to the head. The neighbor with a camera could have taken out a number of them. Think about how many Iraqis it took to ruin US troop's days or Afghani freedom fighters it took to ruin the Russian's days. Guerrilla warfare can beat static forces.

I don't think you need a 308 or Mosin Nagant for a "head shot."

This portends to what we have to look forward to in the near future. Going back to the OP's question, "How would you handle this situation?" It seems we should all give some serious thought to the answer.

  6. The first frame in that video above just screams run-n-gun tactics. The guy with the camera has the tactical advantage, if he had the training. If the SHTF in a country wide scenario, your neighbors may be your saviors. Might be a good idea to introduce yourself to neighbors, and ask if they would like to attend a neighborhood class on self defense, or repelling body armored, armed home invaders. I am fortunate to live in a gun friendly state, and everyone here has weapons, it seems. I know many of you are not so lucky. The burden of protection may be overwhelming to you alone, and wouldn't blame anyone to live to fight another day.

Neighborhood blocks better have a "minuteman" plan in place, where these thugs are out manned and out gunned. If it's between Marxist, socialist rule, police state, and government abuse, I'll take my chances and possibly die defending my beliefs. By God's hand I will have patriots standing with me, sharing my beliefs, sharing my fight.

We're nowhere near that yet, but I bet in very short order, armed patriots could form a formidable resistance to these murderous jack boot thugs.

If the *real* military were to get involved. I would hope we could glean enough converts on our side, before we are annihilated with drones, tanks, light armor, and heavy artillery. However, I think the government would murder all citizens in the U.S. border, to stay in power.

It's unthinkable how close this country is to tyranny, and outright civil war, given the clues. It is ironic that we may end up like the very countries we "helped" to achieve democracy through military might...all a dismal failure, bankrupting our monetary and other resources. All over lies and false flags. It sickens me to realize how many American and international troops died for lies and greed. Our government doesn't have to step very far to become the very enemy of the countries they falsely accused of all these atrocities. Wartime propaganda. I've now seen the mettle our government is made of, and it all leads back to the color green.

The fall of our dollar is going to trigger some horrendous atrocities, coming to a town near you...

...whatever is coming, may God help us.

True but the further away you do it, the better. If the enemy has long range snipers, that is what you have to become. Most police forces have 5.56X45 or .308 rifles so you have to be prepared to fight at those ranges. And then disappear to fight another day. During WW II the Germans had advanced weapons, the Russians had M-N 91/30s. The Russian women snipers were far better at long range shooting with less casualties than the Germans. The Russians got theirs in Afghanistan when the locals sniped them. The US troops do the same there as do the Brits. Take out the enemy at the longest distance possible. And pin them down in there camps.

The MK232 Mod1 75 gr. 5.56 round (very similar to the Superformance 75 gr. .223 round) has extended the effective range of that caliber AR platform a few hundred yards, with 1/7 twist, up to 1/9. This is the round our troops were begging for, for years. It is expensive, but effective, and is cannelured to enhance fragmentation, and crimped to prevent setback.

No substitute for a good, heavy .308 platform, or better. Demoralize the enemy by picking them off. My wife is a much better shot at long ranges than I am. I don't know if it's their lighter hold, allowing the rifle to recoil like a heavy artillery barrel, not disrupting barrel harmonics? We may just grip too hard or shake too much, I don't know....

All my heavy, powerful springer air rifles, we use the "artillery" hold by letting the forearm rest on an open palm, grip the stock very lightly with trigger hand, and lightly place the butt stock into our shoulder. The rifle is essentially free to move around during its firing cycle; fore/aft/side torque due to the many movements of the spring as it decompresses in mere milliseconds.

I know this doesn't directly apply to powder burners, but lightly holding them may be the advantage the women have over us?

A .308 is good out to 1000 yards. A 5.56 would be about dead at 600yds. 7.62X54R if properly setup is also a 1000 yard round. 1,000 yards 1942 91/30 Russian Mosin-Nagant (P/U) sniper rifle - YouTube At 500 yards, body armor is going to hurt when hit. At 100 yards body armor of some types is going to fail if you use the surplus silver tip rounds. For those with .308s, pull the bullets from the X54Rs and use in the .308s and try a few if legal in your state. A 7.62X54R silver tip will punch a hole thru 3/4" plate steel at 100 yards. Blue pot helmets, not much protection at any range. This is also why the gov't doesn't like the civilians having Barrett .50S. Puts the range out to 2500 yards plus.

It is an honor and a privilege to be on "the list" of the government tools.
