Interesting vignette from someone who lived under tyranny of the worst sort, who clearly recognizes the link between freedom and the right to bear arms. {Link seems to take you to second page of article**

It's really sad when immigrants appreciate the liberties in this country more than those who were born here. I find it almost inconceivable that so many of our citizens are willing to give up the liberties that were paid for by the lives and sacrifices of past generations.

The second amendment was meant to be the guarantor all our liberties. Once the 2nd is destroyed, it is only short time until we become slaves of a tyrannical government. Obama exploited this country and its freedom and has contributed nothing. He is just like the majority of his supporters. Obama is parasite who has exploited the liberty that he is now in the process of destroying.

This great country has survived foreign wars, a civil war, the evil of slavery, depression, the attempted extermination of Native Americans, and some really stupid leaders. What it will not survive is ignorance, apathy, and the treasonous acts of our leaders.

    Buckeye,

Bill Whittle, let every Politician in Washington that took the oath of office know they should all be charged with Treason if they propose or vote for anything contrary to the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution.

Amendment 2 - Right to Bear Arms. 12/15/1791.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be Infringed.

“Every step we take towards making the State our Caretaker of our lives, by that much we move toward making the State our Master.” – Dwight D. Eisenhower

Immigrants have come to this country for many years wondering at the freedoms we have and unable to comprehend why we as Americans, allow our government to diminish and restrict rights and freedoms without a fight (they mean a physical fight not just words). Americans have forgotten their history and have been without hardship too long. Current generations who are not taught history, who generally have not gone hungry, have not really been persecuted, have no personal experience under totalitarian rule, just don't get it. Unfortunately by the time they do it will be too little too late.

We do live in the greats country on Earth, it is sad that Americans just don't understand what makes it so.
I'd rather be a Conservative Nutjob. Than a Liberal with NO Nuts & NO Job

This says it so well that there is nothing that I can add to make it better.
