Don't care how long the government is shut down. We all know in the end the pure as the wind driven snow will blame the greedy republicans. The main stream media will be chomping at the bite to get this message out. All you need to know about Obama Care is that it's UNCONSTITUTIONAL. It was made to appear constitutional by a supreme court judge performing an unconstitutional act. Anybody can buy health insurance that wants health insurance. It's not the business of the federal government.

Oh I agree. The purpose of this post is to see what you all think. I believe that when the US Government and the president force a citizen to buy a product or service we are no longer a free country. Mr. Obama is the first official US Dictator in my opinion.

I heard Obama say this morning that he wasn't giving any ground on this issue, seems to me it will be up to him as to how long this will last.

Obamacare = socialism at its finest.(just so I'm clear this is my personal opinion)they said you can keep your insurance well most places you can't and where you can you won't be able to afford it(check for yourself),which in turn means over time independent insurance companies will have to close which in turn means you will have to rely on Government insurance can we say monopoly boys and girls. But if you haven't heard it's the best thing for all of us we are all just to dumb to know it.As for the shut down = Just another way to scare people and demonize others. How long will it last = not real sure but coming up real fast is the debt ceiling argument and that's what is really dangerous in my opinion so the republicans will probably cave by then,as I don't see them handling the pressure.Personally I think they should have stood there ground along time ago, before it came to this but most of them are middle of the road politicians wanting to keep there job.Just my opinion

However long the "shutdown" lasts, it will be too short. The sooner we wean Americans off of gimme-gimme nanny-state handouts, the better. The "shutdown" will not last that long though, so in the end, it's completely meaningless. The current illegitimate government should be shut down permanently, but that too, will not happen. Prepare for tyranny. Prepare for chaos. Or better yet, prepare for Rapture to avoid it all, but Americans are no different than the rest of the world in not wanting to hear about that. They hold onto the delusion of being "free" just like they hold onto the delusion that Prophecy is a series of lies. Whatever, it's over for America. Nothing can fix it at this point. Except.....

The government shutdown will last as long as Obama wants it too or as soon as the Republicans cry "uncle" due to bad press. The GOP is very divided due to the overall influence of the RINO's and the demands of the Tea Party, which is continuously and unjustly maligned. Ron Fournier has an article in the National Journal where he opines, "The Republican Party may be splitting apart. The divide is between conservatives who want to limit government and extremists who oppose governing". The Tea Pary merely wants limited, just government, not overarching tyrannical governance. But, the RINO's are on board with this thinking as it augments their positions of being, "moderate and mainstream" and appeals to a broader group of voters, and I suspect, a genuine overall belief in FedGov hegemony. I personally don't see this lasting too long unless the power-elites want to use it as a catalyst to precipitate social unrest and who knows what could happen from there.

ObamaCare may get delayed but not defunded and is the step prior to universal socialized medicine (single payer). This thing is designed to fail as it's currently written and will become such a burden that many of the folks will be clamoring for a "solution" which will usher in single payer. Rarely does a system revert back to the previous method even if the replacement is a total disaster. FedGov will then tell us that universal coverage is the only fix to the problem - so, watch out for this one, it's on it's way.

The democrats want the shutdown to hurt as much as possible. They know that the republicans will take the blame. And the idiots are playing into their hands. The republicans and tea party are practicing Elmer Fudd politics and not thinking. They think the 45th vote will defund Obamacare? They are just looking stupid to the independents and others whose votes you need to keep control of the house. Obama has already won thus Hans and is now working on the debt limit vote.

They need to pay smart, vote for a budget with the clause that everyone that was given a backroom deal for their support on Obamacare are more treated like every other American and have to follow its assanine rules. Let them deal with the Crap and undermine his support like he is so effectively doing to the republicans. Once people start having to pay for Obamacare or start paying the penalty they will start understanding the crash that it is. Then the republicans will start making progress.
