    The "penalty" for not having health coverage in 2014 is $95 or 1% of your taxable income, whichever is higher. For 2015 it's $325 or 2%, and for 2016 it's $695 or 2.5%. The reason the IRS was selected for enforcement is that they have in place the mechanisms, plus the authority and willingness to take from you all you have. Even in a debtor state like Texas, the IRS can levy your bank accounts and just take your money! Remember, Obamacare is intended to punish the middle class. It is inconsequential to the rich or the poor.

    Im all for not filing taxes & going off the grid, easiest way is to get an under the table job [plentiful in my area] and use only cash. If they coma knockin, Im not home =]
