DC man faces two years in jail for owning ammunition

Anyone see this yet? Haven't seen it on here, so sorry if it's a repost.

This guy is facing charges for owning "unregistered" ammunition (the only gun in the house was an antique-no ammo for that-his hunting guns are stored with his sister in VA)... Police had a warrant, were let in by his daughter, forced him and his girlfriend to the floor and handcuffed them, broke in to the bathroom where is 16 year old son was showering, dragged him out naked and shut him and the other kids in a room while they searched the house.

The Heller case was brought to get the Supreme Court to rule as unconstitutional the total gun ban that had been in effect for 30 years in DC at that time (2008). Heller won, and the Court ordered the revamping of the District's archaic gun laws to comport with its ruling. Emily Miller herself, as well as Mr. Witaschek on whom she is reporting in the linked article, are prime examples of the complete impunity with which DC violates the Court's intention in ruling the way it did in Heller.

So the only question that really needs to be answered is, are the members of SCOTUS nothing more than adherents of the establishment government's steady and unstoppable march towards globalist, collectivist tyranny, or are they simply well-meaning, but wholly unimportant, insignificant and ineffective paper tigers, if/when their rulings go against what the establishment deems as "appropriate" laws to keep enforcing in spite of their rulings? There really is no in between. SCOTUS is either as corrupt as the rest of government, or they're a gaggle of useful idiots who know no more about constitutional liberty than the lawmakers they dishonestly give the "official" imprimatur of ruling "against," and Mr. Witaschek may well become one of the faceless martyrs to come out of the dead-and-gone Constitution that SCOTUS participated in lynching.

If DC convicts this man of a felony, he will lose his gun rights forever. And people wonder why some of us advocate for felons to have their rights restored upon paying their debt to society and being released. Advocates for the other side of that coin should stand up and cheer this man's comeuppance for being a felon. Let's hear it law-and-order boys and girls! "Shall not be infringed" means what exactly to this man? Farewell Amerika, it was nice knowin' ya.

Blues: Do you get the sense of deja vu with this story? It also answers questions asked on here before about whether our police and military will obey orders to act against the American people. That fellow should get help from the NRA attorneys, the ACLU and any other organizations and file one humongous lawsuit against D.C. Child abuse should be one of the charges against them also! Patriots, one and all? I would also include the ditzy ex-wife in the suit.

Does anyone still believe still believe that we live in the REPUBLIC of the United States? These are the actions of a tyrannical government.

And every four years we're cajoled and/or guilted into voting for the next establishment Republican progressive Chosen One on the basis of defending against the Dems getting another seat on SCOTUS. Well, the Court that decided Heller was a supposedly "conservative" one. Let the abject failure of Heller, as-evinced by the case described in the OP as well as thousands, maybe millions, of others, serve as proof forevermore that The Constitution is guarded by an ennead of spineless, useless, traitorous paper tigers. They have no power to act, only the power to put pen to paper, while they depend on the good faith enforcers of their edicts to act on their behalf. When no good faith exists between the men and women of government, SCOTUS is quite literally powerless and irrelevant. If Heller ever mattered a wit, it certainly doesn't now. Likewise, if voting as a way to influence future Court rulings ever meant anything, it is a hopeless and utter waste of time now.

Constitutional liberty only exists to the extent that men of good will and hearty, committed souls are willing to pull a trigger in defense of it. In other words, this country, America, is devoid of it.

  8. What crap! Obama and his cronies are starting to seize weapons to disarm legal Americans who are legally registered to carry weapons and ammunition so that they can put us under their fascist, socialist regime!
