    Here are the numbers I found on that news site from the US Census for the 2nd Quarter of those that were recipients of goverment money. The first number is the number of people in thousands, and the second number is the %. If you notice the %'s, they don't add up.

    Not adding up because some of those overlap. But they need to drop the idea that SS is a handout by the government. It is not in many cases. A worker who paid in to it for 30 years by gov't edict is not taking a handout. That worker paid in to it and is just getting a ROI. Now those who never paid in should never get anything out of it. Medicare is not free either in most cases.

    Yes, I do realize that some overlap, but I have taken that into account when I made the premise that they didn't add up. Go over the numbers again.
