I know the facts about Obama. There are those of us who won't sell ourselves out to the bread-and-circus mentality of socialist heathens. Tokens of lower taxes for the middle class is not a justification for giving up our souls over to the ghastly carcass of socialism. Do you tie your own shoes?
+1. Any one that believs Obama I have an ocean front resort to sell you In AZ.

  3. Talk is cheap. On Election Day, VOTE! Nothing else counts. Don't believe the polls. Just go and vote. Grab your lazy-assed-gun-owning friends and get them to vote. Remember in 2000, the Media called FL for Gore before the folks in the panhandle had finished voting. Apparently many folks just left the line and went home; ultimately making it a close election. THE MEDIA LIED AND GUNRIGHTS ALMOST DIED!

Do you believe that is he is a Muslim? What is the "fact" on his religion?

Just wanted to point out here that it would be very difficult to be both a Muslim and a fanatical Christian. Has everyone forgotten about the "scandal" with Rev. Wright? You know, the reverand at the Christian church he has attended for the last 20 years Personally, I think that "scandal" is crap too, but really - he can't be both!!

If you read Obama's books, listen to his speeches, its pretty obvious he doesn't hate America or white people. For that matter, his mother is white. He is half white. I think he attended a church for a long time, and probably didn't think too much of his reverend's political views. When he decided to run for president, Rev. Wright took that opportunity to publicize many of his less popular views. When the Rev did that, Obama publically denounced those views and separated himself from Rev. Wright and his church.

Really, so you know what all of the political views of your church leaders are? Or the leaders of all the groups you belong to? If I run for office someday, should the fact that someone belonging to this website is openly supporting a revolution against the government come back to bite me? Or could we just say that sometimes people who agree on one thing (in Obama's case - God) don't always agree on everything.

its pretty obvious he doesn't hate America or white people.
Yet he said even his white grandmother doesn't get it. Implying that no whites can "understand" the burden whites put on blacks. Frankly that is the attitude of the left/Dem's/MSM and it is that attitude that burdens the American Black more than anything else. People of color come to America and are successful from all over the world. It's not the color of their skin that is the problem.

I think he attended a church for a long time,
    Over 20 years.

probably didn't think too much of his reverend's political views.
Which were central to the church. Have you read the tenants of the church? I believe it was in one of his books that Rev. Wright was called his spiritual mentor and Rev. Wright was part of his campaign staff until his handlers put a kibosh on it as not good politics.

When he decided to run for president, Rev. Wright took that opportunity to publicize many of his less popular views.
Hardly. The speeches that were available on tape were from several years ago. The Rev. Wright simply repeated them to the public after Obama said he could no more denounce Rev. Wright than he could his black heritage. Of course within days of that claim, he denounced Rev. Wright because of the political inconvenience of his repeating his hate and racial bias.

When the Rev did that, Obama publicly denounced those views and separated himself from Rev. Wright and his church.
Only when Rev. Wright went on TV during the campaign and repeated his hateful speech from years before.

so you know what all of the political views of your church leaders are?
I certainly would if I sat in the pews for 20 years and saw the tenants of the church. And I would be gone if they were hateful of another race and/or of the country.

should the fact that someone belonging to this website is openly supporting a revolution against the government come back to bite me?
Yeah, if you went to meetings with that person for 20 years, made them part of your campaign staff, and called them your spiritual mentor.

Or could we just say that sometimes people who agree on one thing (in Obama's case - God) don't always agree on everything.
Not when it was for 20 years and when it was in writing full of hate.

I'm sorry I didn't save the published tenants of Obama's church (presented and linked on political forums I go to) but I have seen them and they blame the white man for all of the black mans problems. That is divisive and is the main reason for the animosity between the blacks and the whites in this country today.

Here are some places with discussions of Obama's church:
Religion and Politics, Part 3: Unpacking Obama’s Faith | Pop + Politics

    Obama’s Afrocentric, America-Hating Church | Sweetness & Light

    Church tenants:
    . Commitment to God
    2. Commitment to the Black Community
    3. Commitment to the Black Family
    4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
    5. Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
    6. Adherence to the Black Work Ethic
    7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
    8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of "Middleclassness"
    9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community
    10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions
    11. Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System
    12. Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System.
The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:
    1. A congregation committed to ADORATION.
    2. A congregation preaching SALVATION.
    3. A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.
    4. A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.
    5. A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.
    6. A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.
    7. A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.
    8. A congregation committed to LIBERATION.
    9. A congregation committed to RESTORATION.
    10. A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY.

Do I believe that Obama lied throughout his campaign? Absolutely. His recent claims of "supporting the Second Amendment" vs his positions in the past prove it.

Just before the Heller Decision he took a position supporting Washington D.C. anti-gun laws (and Chicago's) and right afterward he said of course he agreed with the decision. He was particularly supportive of "common sense" gun control laws (like Chicago) and excused the loss of gun rights as "necessary" in some places. Of course the fact of terrible anti-gun laws seem to always be associated with crime and violence which seem to go down when those laws are repealed.

And if you listen to his interview on the Chicago NPR station in 2001, you'll find he thinks whitey caused the problems and a redistribution of wealth needs to occur as reparation. JUST like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton want.

ANY way he can, he wants to take away our guns and redistribute our "wealth". He's been quoted as saying that during his college years he desired to be in certain classes because of the teachers Marxist views.

Wow, you are totally right. How could we ever elect someone who went to a church that believed in commitment to god, community, family, education, and the pursuit of excellence? What a monster.

You and I obviously have different interpretations of what Obama's former church membership means. That's one reason we probably voted differently. I don't really want to rehash the entire thing with you because this forum really isn't about religion, is it?

The reason I brought up the whole Rev. Wright issue was merely to point out that he can't be both a radical Christian and a radical Muslim (as some others have suggested).

Could be just a radical opportunist that will use what ever religion at the moments suits him the best to advance his Marxist agenda.
