No Guns For The Mindless Masses!
U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) Is a hypocrite of the worst kind!
According to U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein, only her and her elitist anti-gun cohorts should be allowed to carry guns, or hire armed (Gun-Toting) bodyguards!!!
"Banning guns addresses a fundamental right of all Americans to feel safe."
    --U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein
    Associated Press 11/18/93
Compare Ms. Feinstein's comments to this one:
"Those who would sacrifice essential liberties for a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
    -- Benjamin Franklin
"If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an out right ban,
picking up every one of them... "Mr. and Mrs. America, turn 'em all in,
"I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes weren't here."

    --U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA),
    CBS-TV's "60 Minutes," 2/5/95
I wonder if Ms. Feinstein would give up her guns (see below).
U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) on terrorism and self-defense:
The following comments were made by U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) during U.S. Senate hearings on terrorism held in Washington, D.C. on April 27, 1995:

"Because less than twenty years ago I was the target of a terrorist group. It was the New World Liberation Front. They blew up power stations and put a bomb at my home when my husband was dying of cancer. And the bomb didn't detonate. ... I was very lucky. But, I thought of what might have happened. Later the same group shot out all the windows of my home."

"And, I know the sense of helplessness that people feel. I know the urge to arm yourself because that's what I did. I was trained in firearms. I'd walk to the hospital when my husband was sick. I carried a concealed weapon. I made the determination that if somebody was going to try to take me out, I was going to take them with me."
[During her comments at this hearing Sen. Feinstein made no disavowal of carrying a concealed weapon or of people arming themselves as she has done (and presumably still does) in California.]

Please note that in almost all California cities it is nearly impossible for a citizen to obtain a permit to carry a concealed weapon. In fact, the City of Los Angeles did not issue a single permit for over six years with the exception of issuing one to a new police chief who was not yet certified in California. In San Francisco only those who are police or have influence with the police department are issued permits. In the city of San Jose (in Silicon Valley) the previous police chief refused to issue any permits at all, no matter how endangered a citizen was.

GUN LAWS ARE FOR EVERYONE BUT ME
Reckless Feinstein Sweeps Crowd with AK-47

The story U.S. Senator Feinstein was promoting at the anti-gun news conference made all the big papers and TV networks. But you had to be there to see the incident that stole the show.

Senator Dianne Feinstein Forth Worth Star-Telegram columnist Jill Labbe wrote, “Guns (are) nowhere as dangerous as liberals who can’t handle them. There stood Dianne Feinstein, the anti-gun senator from California, posing for all the nation’s media to capture on Kodachrome, holding an AK-47 with her finger firmly planted on the trigger. Here’s a woman so concerned about the supposed recklessness of gun manufacturers…who wouldn’t know firearm safety if it bit her in the end of her upturned San Franciscan nose.”
The reporters, dignitaries and innocent bystanders packed into the room were too ignorant to be terrified as Feinstein swept the crowd with the muzzle of the automatic rife, bold closed, finger on the trigger, high-capacity magazine locked in place.
San Francisco resident William A. Levinson wrote a certified letter to Mayor Willie Brown, Jr., demanding legal action against the blatant gun safety violations of the illustrious “Ms. Gun Control,” who holds a rare California concealed weapons permit.
When asked earlier why she carried that .38 Smith & Wesson concealed in her purse while promoting gun control for the rest of us, Feinstein answered, “I know the urge to arm yourself because that’s what I did. I was trained in firearms. I’d walk to the hospital when my husband was sick. I carried a concealed weapon. I made the determination that if somebody was going to try to take me out, I was going to take them with me.”
Only a couple of months earlier, however, Feinstein has gone on 60 Minutes to announce, “If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an out-right ban…I would have done it.”
You can not have or carry a gun but she can!
Dianne Feinstein believes that only the privileged should be legally permitted to protect themselves.
Don't be fooled into trading your rights for a false since of security...

"For those of us who have fought for it, FREEDOM has a taste that the protected will never know."

    President Elect Barack Obama (D)
    V.P. Elect Joe Biden (D)
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D)
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D)
    Senator Dianne Feinstein (D)
    Senator Carolyn McCarthy (D)
    Senator Chuck Schumer (D)
    Senator Barbara Boxer (D)
    Ted Kennedy (D)
    John Kerry (D)

With the exception of Barack Obama, all these individuals supported the now sunset Clinton gun ban (That Joe Biden wrote), are STILL IN OFFICE and support a permanent renewal of the assault weapons ban
and a ban of all semi-automatic firearms, a national no-carry law, bans of all lead based ammo, and firearms not capable of micro stamping...

In case you did not notice, they all have a D next to their name, all are rated F by the NRA and GOA and have a long record of Second Amendment Infringement...
Moreover, all are in top influential positions in the government that will enable them to dramatically shape SECOND AMENDMENT RELATED policy that will effect us for at least a decade, and likely much longer...

These individuals were the leaders of the sunset Clinton AWB and they are STILL IN OFFICE! obviously, there are still way to many people in this country that believe the old adage that you should not discuss religion or politics!

If in the know (THOSE THAT BELIEVE IN THE SECOND AMENDMENT AS IT WAS WRITTEN) do not start stepping up to the plate and proactively educating our friends and family, neighbors, peers etc., on the facts, as a routine part of our conservation, we are done for...

Ask yourself; How many people have you talked to in the last year that did not own a firearm, that have since bought one or more as a result of education from you?

If your answer is one or more; that is truly CHANGE THAT WE CAN BELIEVE IN...

When was the last time you asked somebody to go hunting or target shooting with you?

  4. Gun bans

I must echo the words of Charlton Heston. "From my cold dead hand!" That is, of course, after I have given them every round of ammo I had at my command.
A man without a gun is a subject; a man with a gun is a citizen.
I'll keep my freedom, my guns and my money. You can keep THE CHANGE.
An armed society is a polite society.

I too can find all kinds of drivel on you tube. even aliens in a guys backyard. LOL

I never said they wont try, Im just telling you it pass a vote this year or next. Although Dems have control of the house and senate most of them understand to leave the 2nd alone, it would be political suicide at this point. You show the same clips in minor different form, from the same few in power.

Obama himself can not use executive power to put the AWB or modify the 2nd, that takes a 2/3rds vote of congress. which is not available at this time. It is wise to keep up pressure on your reps in congress to keep it in front of them.

Prove it! with actual facts not crap you scrounged up on you tube or NRA stuff. Go to the congressional accounting office which tracks past votes on gun legislation and list who has voted for and against gun bills. It takes along time to do the research correctly but you will find that a majority of Democrats feel there should not be an AWB. Go ahead do actual research, list the congressman and his position from past votes. Put down your KOOLAID glass and research

    Constitutional Amendments - The U.S. Constitution Online - USConstitution.net

    The Amendment Process

There are essentially two ways spelled out in the Constitution for how to propose an amendment. One has never been used.

The first method is for a bill to pass both houses of the legislature, by a two-thirds majority in each. Once the bill has passed both houses, it goes on to the states. This is the route taken by all current amendments. Because of some long outstanding amendments, such as the 27th, Congress will normally put a time limit (typically seven years) for the bill to be approved as an amendment (for example, see the 21st and 22nd).

The second method prescribed is for a Constitutional Convention to be called by two-thirds of the legislatures of the States, and for that Convention to propose one or more amendments. These amendments are then sent to the states to be approved by three-fourths of the legislatures or conventions. This route has never been taken, and there is discussion in political science circles about just how such a convention would be convened, and what kind of changes it would bring about.

Regardless of which of the two proposal routes is taken, the amendment must be ratified, or approved, by three-fourths of states. There are two ways to do this, too. The text of the amendment may specify whether the bill must be passed by the state legislatures or by a state convention. See the Ratification Convention Page for a discussion of the make up of a convention. Amendments are sent to the legislatures of the states by default. Only one amendment, the 21st, specified a convention. In any case, passage by the legislature or convention is by simple majority.

The Constitution, then, spells out four paths for an amendment:

    * Proposal by convention of states, ratification by state conventions (never used)
    * Proposal by convention of states, ratification by state legislatures (never used)
    * Proposal by Congress, ratification by state conventions (used once)
    * Proposal by Congress, ratification by state legislatures (used all other times)

It is interesting to note that at no point does the President have a role in the formal amendment process (though he would be free to make his opinion known). He cannot veto an amendment proposal, nor a ratification. This point is clear in Article 5, and was reaffirmed by the Supreme Court in Hollingsworth v Virginia (3 US 378 [1798]):

The negative of the President applies only to the ordinary cases of legislation: He has nothing to do with the proposition, or adoption, of amendments to the Constitution.
You might want to learn a bit about the constitution before you spout SPOBI again
