Great, a bunch of conspiracy nuts who have no idea how the Internet actually works. How about educating yourself about the topic a little bit before making claims that just make you look like a fool.

Obama turns over the Internet to the other "world leaders" today. Kiss freedom good bye.

You guys are cracking me up.

Breitbart is actually turning the argument on its head. Countries already can and do censor their Internet content, but can not censor the Internet content of other countries. That is by design, has nothing to do with ICANN and won't change. Your own Internet provider here in the US can and already does censor your Internet content. That is also by design, has also nothing to do with ICANN and won't change. ICANN has ZERO control over internet content. ICANN administers IP address ranges and top-level DNS entries. Changing a company's or government entity's IP address ranges and top-level DNS entries without their permission is akin to hacking the DNS root servers. That's cyber warfare and has also nothing to do with ICANN. Ultimately, each country has and continues to maintain control over its own Internet functionality through their own DNS root servers

Meanwhile, you can chose to believe that leaving the current system in place, where under the conspiracy assumption the US government somehow has full control over the Internet, is a better option. Not that this would be true, but hey, this is the Internet and every conspiracy has its place in the Internet.
