Democratic Governor Terry McAullife’s PAC donated almost $500,000 to the wife of an FBI agent leading the probe into Hillary Clinton’s e-mail scandal.
    .
This stunning revelation, despite being reported in a front page story in Monday’s edition of The Wall Street Journal, didn’t receive any time on the Big Three network (ABC, CBS, NBC) morning shows.
    .
The Wall Street Journal’s Devlin Barrett, in the October 23 online version of the story, reported the following:
    .
The political organization of Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, an influential Democrat with longstanding ties to Bill and Hillary Clinton, gave nearly $500,000 to the election campaign of the wife of an official at the Federal Bureau of Investigation who later helped oversee the investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s email use.
    .
Campaign finance records show Mr. McAuliffe’s political-action committee donated $467,500 to the 2015 state Senate campaign of Dr. Jill McCabe, who is married to Andrew McCabe, now the deputy director of the FBI.
    .
The Virginia Democratic Party, over which Mr. McAuliffe exerts considerable control, donated an additional $207,788 worth of support to Dr. McCabe’s campaign in the form of mailers, according to the records. That adds up to slightly more than $675,000 to her candidacy from entities either directly under Mr. McAuliffe’s control or strongly influenced by him. The figure represents more than a third of all the campaign funds Dr. McCabe raised in the effort.

    .
The questionable donation, so far, has yet to be reported on the Big Three networks but was covered on Fox News Channel (FNC) and Fox Business Network (FBN). FBN’s Neil Cavuto and Blake Burman discussed the matter on the October 24 edition of Cavuto: Coast to Coast:
    .
NEIL CAVUTO: Meanwhile, Virginia's governor giving money to an FBI official's wife. She was running for the Virginia state senate. She later lost but not before getting $600,000 plus, and her husband — a very influential FBI figure in the Clinton e-mail probe. Can we say awkward? Well, the governor of Virginia and those involved say, no, nothing untoward or unusual going on here. Blake Burman sorts it all out. Hey, Blake.
    .
BLAKE BURMAN: Hi there Neil. Yeah, the number that is raising more questions is $467,500. According to The Wall Street journal, the political action committee of Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe donated that amount, just shy of $470,000 last year to Dr. Jill McCabe's state senate race. Now here’s how the connections break down:
    .
Governor McAuliffe, he is a longtime confidant of Bill and Hillary Clinton. Dr. McCabe is the wife of Andrew McCabe who at the time was the associate deputy director of the FBI. Now, Dr. McCabe eventually lost her state senate race, and after that defeat her husband was promoted to the deputy director of the FBI which put him into an oversight role of the department's investigation into Hillary Clinton's e-mail practices at the State Department.
    .
The FBI, we reached out to them for a statement, they are downplaying this connection, Neil, saying in a statement that McCabe basically was insulated from his wife's race. Here was the quote, in part, that they gave us. They say “during the the campaign he played no role, attended no events and did not participate in fundraising or support of any kind.” That's the statement from the FBI. However, some would question whether nearly half a million dollar donation was basically disguised to exert pressure on the FBI.

The Wall Street Journal reports Major Clinton ally Gov. Terry McAuliffe gave nearly $500,000 to the election campaign of the wife of an official at the FBI who later helped oversee the investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s email use. Network coverage today? Zilch.
    .
I would like to follow the money and find out where the $500k came from....If you remember that’s how the FBI got Al Capone.

Look, it's another non-scandal. Let's review this. Terry McAuliff, a long-time Clinton associate, gave over $675k to Jill McCabe for her campaign for the VA Senate. She LOST that race. That race was over before the FBI EVER interviewed Hillary.

Independent of any of this, her husband Andrew McCabe, FBI Agent and then head of the DC field office was Promoted to the No. 3 position at the FBI, then to the No. 2 Assistant Director position. Oh, and to make sure he was in compliance with the law, Mr. McCabe sought advisement from the FBI Ethics lawyers when Mr. McAullife and his people asked Mrs. McCabe to run for office.

Mr. McCabe was part of the executive team overseeing the team investigating the Clinton e-mail investigation (which as No. 2 at the FBI he would naturally be included on).

Then to seal the deal, we are positive that Hillary was unaware of any of this entire matter. She was unaware of the request by the McAullife Administration asking Mrs. McCabe to run, she had no involvement in Mr. McCabe's selection as No. 2 at the FBI, and was unaware of, and uninvolved in the disbursement of funds to Mrs. McAullife. In other words, Mrs. Clinton was completely uninvolved in this whole affair.

So by the logic in Trumpland, the McCabe's are guilty by 3 degrees of separation, simply because they're friends of friends with someone who knows the Clintons. Tell us, how many people in positions of influence in the greater Washington area know the Clintons? Are they all guilty of a conspiracy too?

This is why Trump is losing, and why no one takes Trump supporters seriously. Nice try, but you'll have to do better next time. There is no THERE there.

You've got to be kidding, McAuliff and the Clintons are as tight as ticks on a dog, he's done multiple things to assist Hillary for years, just look at his pushing the prospect of allowing hundreds of thousands of felons to be allowed to vote, which we all know 90% of them would vote for Hillary.
    .
Of all the people he could have given money to, he chose the only person who's husband is directly involved with the FBI investigation into her illegal E-mail problems, yea if you believe there's no connection, then go ahead and keep your head in the sand.

Yeah, the Gov. of VA gave someone money to run against a republican as a democrat for a state office. SHE LOST. Her husband took steps to stay out of the race, not make campaign appearances, and keep himself as much as possible from having even the appearance of a conflict of interest. Donald Trump is trying to paint guilt by association, the problem is that everyone in DC knows and has connections to the Clintons.

Tell me, is this the new Breitbart version of "this person's parents were muslim, and they're muslim, so they MUST be members of ISIS."

Again, there's not THERE there. Your own campaign is so screwed up, that you're inventing scandals where none exist. I'm enjoying every day of this!

Then why didn't the assistant director of the FBI that was in charge of the investigation on Hillary recuse himself from the investigation into Hillary. The appearance of impropriety is one of the main stays of government service and although it's not illegal for him to give a donation, just because she was the wife of the assistant director of the FBI that was in charge of the investigation on Hillary is the reason he should have removed himself from the investigation. He wouldn't allow his agents to have Hillary give statements under oath, issue search warrants, anyone would ask, WHY.

By that logic, half the people in D.C. would have to recuse themselves from things just because they know someone who knows someone. Like I said, another pathetic scream for attention from a failure of a presidential campain that can only whine like a whipped puppy that things are rigged against them. Boo freakin hoo...cry me a river.

  8. The Fix was in for Hillary from the get go . Common sense tells you so but some are so crazed by her they can't see the forest for the trees in the way.

It will take years or maybe never for the DOJ to gain the respect again of most people in the USA .

Ask yourself , who do you trust the most ?

Knowing someone in Washington and giving hundreds of thousands of money to the wife of the person in the FBI who is directly involved in the FBI E-mail probe is a completely different matter. He should have recused himself or Comey should have done it for him, lawyers, judges do it all the time and even one of the supreme court justices did, so he should have done it also.
