You got that right, it always amazes me to see this much money spent on really stupid things and this doesn't even count all the pork that get's attached to the bills that they pass.

You're right, because basic science never benifitted anyone. it's not like there's some magical device you can keep on your desk or in your pocket that will allow you 24/7 access to the accumulated knowledge of mankind. I mean with something like that, you could post a worthless forum article making fun of basic sceince and the money wasted on it. It's not like basic sicence or the mistakes that sometimes result from it lead to discoveries against bacterial infections, or cures to other diseases.

Now I don’t know about any of you, but I couldn’t give a rat’s a$$ about any of these items and I don’t like my tax dollars being used in this way and these are just a few of them.
Nope it's not like with the first one, you might find out something about why some people are gay?

Nope, the second one couldn't answer the question of why some environments or sounds creep people out or answer some other basic question about human psychology.

Nope, the third one won't lead to a machine smart enough to put idiots out of work so they can make fun of government research spending.

Nope, the fourth one wouldn't lead to an answer about why things with small penises need to overcompensate with agression and a bigger gun.

Nope, the fifth one won't lead to better wine so that people can kill the braincells that retain knowledge about hugely misinformed forum posts by pin heads.

Nope, the sixth one wouldn't have any benefit for someone who spends too much time in dad's basement and whines like a little girl just because they are too stupid and unimaginitive to see the value in someone elses work that they know nothing about.

You see I don't like seeing my Social Security tax dollars wasted on mental defectives who don't have the education to understand something like basic science. It really grinds my gears to see Cliff Clavens spouting off out their backsides like the sole authority about things they demonstrably know nothing about, proving that my tax dollars were wasted on a public education that in their case obviously benefitted no one.

But guess what, we live in a society where we all contribute to a common pot, and it gets spent on crap I don't like every day. But because I benefit in other ways from that same pot, I'm willing to let chuckle heads I don't like exist too. Rather than letting them get used by the government for that same basic syence experimentation at the hands of josef mengle wannabes. Better hamsters than humans I suppose.

  8. What makes you think humans are safe from "mengle" like experiments?
Would it shock you to know of the varied experiments that have ALREADY taken place, without your knowledge or approval?
Right here, in the good ole us of a?

Mengle did good work, but the post talked about experimenting with hamsters....maybe you know something about that already? Never said we didn't experiment on humans in this country. In some cases I think it might be a good Idea to start it back up. Eugenecists had the right idea.
