Chuck Schumer Supported The Ban In 2015
    .
On Sunday, Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer cried while describing President Trump, calling his actions “mean spirited and un-American.”
    .
But back in November of 2015 the same Chuck Schumer said that a halt of Syrian refugees may be necessary after the Paris attacks happened that killed well over 100 innocent people.
    .
    From The Hill:
    .
Sen. Charles Schumer (N.Y.), the third ranking member of the Senate Democratic leadership, on Tuesday said it may be necessary to halt the resettlement of Syrian refugees in the United States.
    .
Republicans immediately seized on Schumer’s comment, which breaks with other Democrats who have argued against halting the program.
    .
Schumer, however, declined to take the option off the table ahead of a special briefing scheduled for Wednesday afternoon on the process that is now used to vet refugees entering the United States.
    .
“We’re waiting for the briefing tomorrow, a pause may be necessary. We’re going to look at it,” he said…
    .
…A spokeswoman for Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) highlighted Schumer’s statement as an example of “bipartisan concern” over refugees.
    .
In summary, Chuck Schumer is playing the American people along with the mainstream media because it is now politically expedient for the Democratic party as it desperately tries to rebuild it’s party after losing over 1,000 seats nationwide to the Republicans.

The problem being that Trumps EO goes far beyond past temporary immigration restrictions, but keep telling yourself that lie that Trumps EO is somehow the same as past actions.

Trump’s Immigration Ban: Who Is Barred and Who Is Not:

    • Visitors, Students and Workers with existing visas are affected once they leave the US. If they stay, they are not. This makes close to zero sense, but that seems to be Trump's style.
    • New Immigrants that have been recently issued a visa and have not entered the US yet are affected.
    • Refugees that have not entered the US are affected.
    • Green Card Holders and Special Immigrants (newly arriving or returning) are affected on a case-by-case basis.
    • Dual Nationals and Diplomats are apparently not affected, although there were some dual nationals that were denied entry.

This analysis is based on the new guidance issued by the Trump administration. It is the widest temporary immigration restriction that the US has seen in recent history. Within 3 days, at least 721 people have been denied entry to the US based on the EO, including Christians fleeing prosecution, Iraqi interpreters that helped US forces, and professional athletes visiting the US for a competition.

FYI: Los Angeles may lose its bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics due to Trump's incompetence: Trump's travel ban could impact IOC vote on 2024 Summer Olympics host, but other factors also will be considered.

To lose the Olympics would be one of the best things to ever happen to the American taxpayer.
No Olympics that told place in the USA ever paid for itself and cost taxpayers bundles.

  8. I am just a retired working stiff and sick and tired of these two -faced politicians sending the USA down the drain.

Except for the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles that actually made money, $232 million. The plan for the 2024 Olympics in Los Angeles is to make money again.
