America's spies anonymously took down Michael Flynn. That is deeply worrying.

"Sitting back and letting shadowy, unaccountable agents of espionage do the job for us simply isn't an acceptable alternative. Down that path lies the end of democracy in America".

  3. From another forum about the old powers in Washington's swamp.
"It’s the change and the threat of lost power within the State Department, FBI, CIA, and National Security Council that have lifetime bureaucrats, old-time Senators, the courts, and even some aides in the West Wing going for the kill shot. If they can wound the Trump presidency, they can control their pre-ordained and favored course."

  4. Before Trump's election , the buzz was about who leaked the info from the DNC and nothing about what was leaked'
Now the buzz is about what was leaked and nothing about who leaked the info.

Concerning all of the media blow up of Gen. Flynn and the Trump Whitehouse over the conversation between Flynn and the Russian ambassador, it’s been stated by the FBI that Flynn was within his position’s bounds to be in contact with the Russian ambassador.
    .
What really needs to be done is the illegally leaked transmitted scripts that were secret to the media are investigated to ascertain who the people who disclosed these conversations were. These leaks are a direct violation of the Espionage Act and 18 USC 798 and a grand jury needs to be conducted to find who willfully leaked these items and be held accountable for the criminal actions.
    .
Granted there are questions as to whether Flynn should have been more forthcoming to the VP is regards to his conversation with the Russian ambassador and if he did lie to the VP, then that is grounds to be asked for his resignation.

"It’s been stated by the FBI" that Hillary Clinton did not commit any crime. "It’s been stated by the FBI" that Michael Flynn did not commit any crime. Politics as usual.

One wonders, if the leaks never happened would Flynn be still National Security Advisor today? I think so.

So you're fine that he lied to the FBI? How about the fact that Trump was informed about the issue, and that he could be compromised by Russian Intelligence, but still let the man have access to classified info until it finally hit the news?

    Nope, no investigations needed huh?

From White House: Trump unaware of Flynn's foreign agent work:

President Donald Trump was not aware that his former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, had worked to further the interests of the government of Turkey before appointing him, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Thursday.

Spicer's comments came two days after Flynn and his firm, Flynn Intel Group Inc., filed paperwork with the Justice Department formally identifying him as a foreign agent and acknowledging that his work for a company owned by a Turkish businessman could have aided Turkey's government.

Asked whether Trump knew about Flynn's work before he appointed him as national security adviser, Spicer said, "I don't believe that that was known."

Flynn and his company filed the registration paperwork describing $530,000 worth of lobbying before Election Day on behalf of Inovo BV, a Dutch-based company owned by Turkish businessman Ekim Alptekin. In an interview with The Associated Press, Alptekin said Flynn did so after pressure from Justice Department officials.

The filing this week was the former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency's first acknowledgement that his consulting business furthered the interests of a foreign government while he was working as a top adviser to Trump's presidential campaign.

Flynn's disclosure that his lobbying ó from August through Novemberó may have benefited Turkey's authoritarian government led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan came as Flynn has drawn scrutiny from the FBI for his contacts with Russian officials. Trump fired Flynn last month for misleading Vice President Mike Pence and other administration officials about his contacts with Russia's ambassador to the U.S., Sergey Kislyak.

In paperwork filed with the Justice Department's Foreign Agent Registration Unit, Flynn and his firm acknowledged that his lobbying "could be construed to have principally benefited the Republic of Turkey." The lobbying contract ended after Trump's election in November, according to the paperwork.
