People feel duty bound. People have become nationalistic. People have become conditioned. People cross party lines in order to win, depending on demographics and the mood of it. Typically every 4 or 8 years.
    .
A person lives in a neighborhood. The next neighborhood over is controlled by a criminal organization. The other neighborhood over also belongs to a criminal organization.
    .
You are told that participation will make a difference, and that you are neglecting a duty right if you do not vote for one of the criminal organizations.
    .
But voting for either organization gives your consent. You feel that voting will change one of the organizations to turn to good and do what is right by the people in your neighborhood.
    .
But that is a futile attempt; the other neighborhoods leaders will throw little bones here and there to garner votes, knowing that parts of your neighborhood will vote for A and others will vote for B. However behind closed doors both criminal neighborhoods work together, taking more and more from innocent people.
    .
I however choose not to participate or give consent. If others choose to do so, they will have to bear the consequences and live with that choice.
    .
Nowhere in the Bill of Rights does it say that people are duty bound to vote. But it does have a 1st Amendment to speak out, and a 2nd Amendment to secure being free.
    .
But if you believe your vote counts, and the central bankers, global and corporate lobbyists will actually listen to you, you are free to promote whichever party floats your boat.
    .
    - Drone killing without due process.
    - Indefinite detention.
    - Spying on and retaining your most personal effects.
    - Fake money printed with no backing.
    - Securing our borders while invading, killing and setting up military installations in other countries around the globe.
    - Obamney-Care passed by a Republican CONgress.
    - Etc
    .
Both criminal organizations are responsible for those examples. Neither is for the American people. Nor are they discussed in the “news”.
    .
I refuse to vote for evil and offer my consent. I don’t care what they call themselves.

And that ladies and gentlemen is why we ended up with only bad choices. Neither Trump nor Hillary were put there by the majority of people eligible to vote, but by the minority that bothered to vote in the primaries.

In 2016 there were 231 million people eligible to vote, meeting all legal requirements (citizen, age, not a felon, etc). Trump received just under 63 million votes.

Meaning Trump was elected by a clear minority, a mere 27% of eligible voters. And that is why we are ******.

    XD,

That is the biggest and saddest misconception believed by the American people. Ken, though well intentioned, obviously has no idea either.
    .
Have you actually been involved in the process from the inside? Yours truly has been, both at the state and the federal levels, and I will assure that whoever you vote for has been preselected well ahead of time. It truly is an illusion of choice.

  5. If in each election you vote for the lesser of two evils just maybe in a few cycles the lesser evil is no longer evil .
What other choice do we have ?

There were days where I voted "for" candidates, but those days are gone. Why? Voter apathy, and the ignorant masses.

If it allows you to feel good to vote, and hope that things will become better, the corrupt organization will certainly appreciate your participation :)
