Thread: Still think we don’t need a barrier on the Southern border?

  1. Declaring emergencies to service campaign promises is a very dangerous precidence to make. Think of what kind of "emergencies" the ilk of Hillary Clinton could cook up.

Besides - a wall is a poor barrier for the money. Best buy in my book? Landmines.

Read my post XD. Actually stated that this would likely end up at SCOTUS and they would ultimately resolve the issue of constitutionality. Which isn't a great solution considering the current state of 1A, 2A, and 4A freedoms but it's all we have left considering our Congress is currently dysfunctional and inept.

Let's put it this way. If President Obama had chosen to address the border in this manner while he was in office he would have received overwhelming bipartisan support and little media pushback so it would have been great if he'd thought about this issue as something other than new voters. He thought it was important enough to deserve his yes vote on a border wall in 2006 but obviously things change. You know, politically.

Ah yes, speculation.... baseless, but at least you didn't play the Hillary card.

Obama had a habit of listening to the people more knowledgeable than he is, and is not a self-proclaimed ultimate expert about every topic that crosses the his desk. Walls were very effective back in the middle ages, which is fitting for our current wannabe oligarch.

But with a fool selling other fools on a wall, that Mexico would pay for... and where we are throwing billions at a problem that would be better served with wiser solutions than a mid-evil technology, that doesn't fit the problem. 80%+ of drugs that come across the southern border, come through ports of entry, not in a trashbag carried by someone with brown skin. Only a minority of illegals 'cross' the southern border on foot. Most over stay visas, and less than 200 miles of wall on a 2,000 mile border will be for nothing but show and to fluff Trumps sick ego.

You hear people like XD saying the wall is old fashioned and such other items. Trump's wall wasn't meant to be the everything that is needed. What XD fails to comprehend is, what Obama's ex-border control supervisor said, that the wall is needed and he isn't the only one who feels that way, it includes all of the border patrol agents and ICE agents. So who knows more about what is needed, XD or the people who actually work or have worked on the border. I'll choose the people who actually work or have worked on the border.

Yes some drugs come through the border checkpoints, but just last week enough fentanyl was seized at a point between the border checkpoints to kill everyone in our country.

Point was that if BO believed in the obvious vulnerabilities of the border in 2006 as an elected Senator and voted for a wall then he should have acted accordingly after being elected to the position of POTUS. It would have been a more moral decision in the eyes of the media and his numerous acolytes because it was "him", the other half of the nation that knows unchecked illegal immigration (from any nation) is the lynchpin of a nation's decline would have seen him as a defender of US sovereignty and without bias, and they would've won an election they were supposed to win according to polls and the media.

One party would have likely won an election that they managed to lose against all odds had Democrats denied Trump the use of that issue to defeat them with. Would additionally argue that BO, or his proxy third termer, would have been able to get DACA done through legislation and not the EO that the courts eventually ruled against. All supposition and MMQB'ing at this point and it's easy to diagnose failures and root cause after the fact.

Water under the bridge now and 2020 will divide the country to even more extreme levels regardless of the outcome. The virtue signaling during upcoming debates will not resolve any of this but Independent voters definitely will. Again.

80% - 90% is more than 'some'. At best the few additional miles of wall will inconvenience some of the drug traffickers, but it takes a special fool to believe it will have any impact on the amount of drugs that comes in.... Then we have our domestic pharmaceutical companies that pump millions of opioid pills into our communities, killing 10's of thousands every year, with the blessing of the politician they own.

HORRIFYING ALERT ISSUED AFTER 6 DROP DEAD IN STATE OVERRUN WITH REFUGEES – IT’S FAR WORSE THAN WE THOUGHT
    .
Who knows what Barrack Hussein Obama was thinking when he decided to create his reckless immigration policies, because thanks to him we are now suffering the consequences.
    .
As ISIS terrorists and violent Mexican gangs run wild in the US, President Trump is doing everything possible to keep the problem from escalating.
    .
Unfortunately, Trump is having to work twice as hard to get the job done because liberal mayors and governors insist on defying federal law by proclaiming “sanctuary cities” for these dangerous people who want a free ride. And Obama is just sitting back watching the whole bomb explode from his evil creation.
    .
    Reported by mpolitical:
    .
Now thanks to liberals, it looks like we have far bigger problem on our hands than third world country invaders. Now in the heavily migrant-dominated area of Minnesota, there’s now a massive outbreak of a previously almost eradicated disease, that has locals in a massive panic right before the holidays.
    .
The disgusting disease of tuberculosis keeps popping up in areas where Muslim refugees are being allowed to invade. Several months ago, a horrifying outbreak happened in San Diego county, where one doctor revealed that a whopping 21.4 percent of Muslims migrants there had the disease. The nasty disease is easily spread through the air by speaking, coughing, sneezing, or spitting, and infects the lungs.
    .
Now unfortunately, it’s not just California dealing with widespread TB outbreaks. Six have dropped dead of the disease in Ramsey County, Minnesota, as of November 6, where this is being called the “largest outbreak in the country.” Even more disturbing is that this particular strain is completely resistant to any type of treatment.
    .
    Opposing Views reported:
    .
An outbreak of drug-resistant tuberculosis in Ramsey County, Minnesota has infected 17 people and killed six as of Nov. 6.
    .
The outbreak is the largest in the country.
    .
“We’ve put a lot of resources into responding to this situation,” Kris Ehresmann, director for Infectious Disease at the Minnesota Department of Health told KMSP.
    .
The outbreak has largely impacted members of Ramsey County’s large Hmong community. Fourteen of the infected are elderly Hmong. Ehresmann believes 10 of those people were infected at the same senior center.
    .
“We have a large Hmong community in Minnesota, so I think it’s really important that they’re aware of the situation and attentive and monitoring what’s going on with elders,” Ehresmann said.
    .
If you think it’s pure coincidence that this disease is popping up in densely populated areas containing Muslim refugees, then you’re living under a rock. Liberals in Minnesota love to constantly brag about the numbers of refugees they’ve brought in, where Minnesota women are now suffering devastating results of this Muslim invasion, now constantly threatened with rape by the local Somali Muslim populace.
    .
While there’s no cure for rapists, the Director For Infectious Disease, Kris Ehresmann, is doing everything she can to contain the outbreak. But being that this strain is resistant to antibiotics, it’s extremely difficult to treat.
    .
“When you have a multi-drug resistant disease what that means is the organism that’s causing the TB is now resistant to at least two of the usual drugs that are used, so it’s not that you can’t treat it, but it’s going to take second-line drugs,” Ehresmann said.
    .
It’s not just the disease that could devastate locals, but the cost of treatment could cripple the local city’s budget. “The cost of treating drug-resistant tuberculosis is more than seven times the cost of regular tuberculosis treatment, according to KMSP. Regular treatment costs $17,000. Drug-resistant treatment costs $134,000,” Opposing Views went on.
    .
Director of St. Paul-Ramsey County Public Health, Anne Barry, told the press that she and local health officials are doing everything they can to work directly with the community.
    .
“In our partnership with the Minnesota Department of Health, we’re really the front line,” she said. “We’re working directly with the community and with people of the community in the health department, so we have health educations, community health workers, nurses who are in and of the Hmong community, and that’s an essential part of the work that’s being done here. We’re often not trusted by people of the community, so having relationships has been essential.”
    .
Please tell me what these Muslim migrants are contributing to our society other than bringing their third world country Sharia Law practices and their archaic diseases into our country. I’ll wait while you think about your answer.

    My Thoughts:
    .
Time and time again, I’ve posted articles just like this, when are the people in Congress going to do their jobs and revise all of the laws concerning the illegal aliens coming into our country.
    .
What worries me a whole lot is our children and grandchildren are in schools alongside the children of these infected refugees.
    .
Along with this one, there are numerous others diseases coming into our country, those years ago were eradicated here, but not in these other countries and because of those vaccines for these diseases haven't been given to our population for years.
    .
It’s unthinkable that the Democrats won’t do anything to protect our countryman every way they can, but it looks like their political agenda far outweighs their political requirements to their oath of office.

African Migrants Get “Aggressive” And Have Rolls Of $100 Bills
    .
When is this going to end?
    .
The massive flux of illegal invaders from African countries rife with horrid disease demand to be allowed in the country… and they aren’t poor.
    .
    The American Mirror reported:
    .
The “poor huddled masses” coming across the southern border may not be so poor after all.
    .
Swiss journalist Urs Gehriger recently visited African migrants who breached the border and hung out on the streets of San Antonio, Texas, waiting to go elsewhere in the country, and he met hostility from people who didn’t want to share details about their experiences, conflicted each other, and had rolls of $100 bills.
    .
In a recording played on Fox News, Gehriger asks a migrant from Congo how she got to America.
    .
    She refused to say.
    .
“We are here now in the United States. Why do you ask about Ecuador?” a woman said, referring to the reported country they passed through.
    .
As Gehriger continued to ask simple questions, he said they backtracked and “were not answering at all.”
    .
“They wouldn’t tell me anything about how they got here, and then they started to get aggressive and they were contradicting each other,” he told Laura Ingraham.
    .
“One said they ran through the forest, and another said no, there was no forest, and they were actually arguing among themselves,” Gehriger said.
    .
He said they started to get “aggressive” after questions about money and help.
    .
Gehriger believes the illegals were coached on giving answers to authorities.
    .
“I had the impression that somebody told them not to speak about it,” and acting like “now we’re here, you have to help us, give us money.”
    .
“What I found from an aid worker there, they actually do have money. Quite a few of them, because he spotted them under a tree, right in front of the shelter, counting a roll of money with hundred dollar bills,” Gehriger told Ingraham.
    .
Hundreds of migrants Congo and Angola were transported to San Antonio the week before, and city officials say they received no warning from the feds that they were coming.
    .
KENS published a story showing dozens of people milling around downtown, saying they arrived at the southern U.S. border by way of Ecuador.
    .
All told, 350 Africans arrived that week.
    .
City officials say CBP told them another 200-300 would be arriving later.
    .
One migrant told reporter Jaleesa Irizarry via Google translate that he came to America “for security reasons” and once he made it, “with the help of the USA, I can get it back,” referring to his family that stayed behind.

    My Thoughts:
    .
If I had a hundred dollar bill, I’d sit up all night and guard it.
    .
Just look at where this current massive outbreak of Ebola that is now happening over there, right next door to where these people came from.
    .
With all of the other countries available to give them asylum & safety that they went through from their former country, why didn’t they stop in one of those countries and request asylum?
    .
Something is really fishy about this whole thing.

DHS REPORT: ‘Hundreds of Migrants’ Detained at the Border Have 'US CRIMINAL RECORDS'
    .
A new report released by the Department of Homeland Security shows upwards of 1,000 migrants detained at the border have US criminal records; raising serious security concerns across the region.

“Hundreds of illegal immigrants attempting to cross the southern border as part of massive migrant caravans were found to have criminal histories in the U.S., according to newly obtained Department of Homeland Security documents,” reports Fox News.

“The DHS files were provided to House Oversight Committee Republicans in May and included internal data showing more than 1,000 migrants traveling as part of caravans to the border within the past nine months had ‘U.S. criminal histories’ and hundreds had ‘U.S. criminal convictions,’” adds Fox.

Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reached a stunning new low earlier this week; accusing the Trump administration of operating a series of “concentration camps” along the US-Mexico border.

“The United States is running concentration camps on our southern border. That’s exactly what they are. They are concentration camps. If that doesn’t bother you… I like, whatever, I want to talk to the people that are concerned with humanity that ‘Never Again’ means something,” said the left-wing lawmaker.

“The fact that concentration camps are now an institutionalized practice in the home of the free is extraordinarily disturbing,” she added.
    .
The self-described Democratic Socialist made national headlines last week when she called for a $4,500 raise for Members of Congress and a “cost-of-living adjustment” for all Americans.

“It may be politically convenient and make you look good in the short term… but we should be fighting for pay increases for every American worker. We should be fighting for $15 an hour minimum wage pegged to inflation,” said Ocasio-Cortez.

“Everybody in the United States, with a salary, with a wage gets a cost of living increase. Members of Congress, retail workers, everybody should get a cost of living increase,” she added.

And just think of the thousands that didn’t get caught at the border.
    .
On a different subject, AOC receives $174,000 a year, which is four times what she made as a bartender and now she wants $4,500 raise on top of that and she’s only been in office for a few months.
    .
WOW, this person has a whole lot of nerve.
