The Deep State Now in DEEP TROUBLE Over Shady Origins of the Russia Probe
    .
Speaking during his opening monologue on ‘Hannity’ Tuesday night, Sean weighed-in on the Attorney General’s recent decision to appoint a US attorney to investigate the shady origins of the Russia probe; saying the Deep State is now in ‘deep trouble.’
    .
“The Deep State is in even more deep trouble. A US attorney has been appointed to investigate the origins of the Russia probe. This is huge news. This is the boomerang we’ve been talking about… The Russian hoax is now in the rearview mirror, Mueller[‘s investigation] is over,” said Hannity “Anything you hear going forward – that is only noise.”
    .
“Their conspiracies about Russia [are] not even on life support at this time. It’s dead, it’s buried, and it’s not coming back,” he added.
    .
Attorney General William Barr appointed a US attorney Monday night to investigate the shady origins of the Russia-Trump collusion probe and whether the DOJ acted “properly” while surveilling the Trump campaign heading into the 2016 election.
    .
“Fox News reported on Monday that Attorney General Bill Barr had assigned John Durham, the U.S. attorney in Connecticut, to conduct the inquiry into alleged misconduct and alleged improper government surveillance on the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election, as well as whether Democrats were the ones who improperly colluded with foreign actors,” reports Fox News.
    .
“I am reviewing the conduct of the investigation and trying to get my arms around the aspects of the counterintelligence investigation that was conducted in the summer of 2016,” Barr testified on April 9.
    .
“The FBI’s July 2016 counterintelligence investigation was opened by former senior agent Peter Strzok. Former FBI counsel Lisa Page, with whom Strzok was romantically involved, revealed during a closed-door congressional interview that the FBI ‘knew so little’ about whether allegations against the Trump campaign were ‘true or not true,’ at the time that they opened the probe, noting that they had just ‘a paucity of evidence because we are just starting down the path’ of vetting the allegations,” adds the report.

Hillary Clinton spawned the Russia hoax. Christopher Steele is merely its front man
    .
Following the complete exoneration of President Trump on the hoax allegations of collusion with Russia, the legacy media is attempting to pick up the pieces and investigate what went wrong.
    .
The New York Times, which inserted — without evidence — mountains of anonymously sourced false information into the American mainstream consciousness, has taken a renewed focus on the Steele dossier, which was reportedly an integral piece of source material for the Obama administration’s surveillance operation against the Trump campaign.
    .
“Now the dossier — financed by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee, and compiled by the former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele — is likely to face new, possibly harsh scrutiny from multiple inquiries,” The Times reports.
    .
Christopher Steele and his Steele dossier were just one element of a campaign that was not only being financed, but appeared to be entirely manufactured and controlled by Hillary Clinton and the DNC. The Russia collusion hoax originated with Hillary Clinton, and the burden should be on her campaign and the DNC. It butchers the chain of responsibility to hold Christopher Steele, the contracted “researcher,” ultimately accountable for defending everything that spawned from the Clinton-DNC operation, which was later leveraged by the Obama administration.
    .
The fraudulent narrative that Donald Trump was a Russian agent began to make its way into the media — and throughout the Obama Intelligence Community — during the late stages of the 2016 presidential election, likely as a means to help candidate Hillary Clinton secure her electoral victory by delegitimizing her opponent through the use of a black propaganda operation.
    .
During the campaign, Team Clinton hired Fusion GPS, which then worked with Steele to produce and disseminate the dossier, according to the media narrative.
    .
But we must also recall that in parallel with the Fusion GPS campaign, political operatives with deep ties to the Clinton family emerged with a reported second dossier — which according to reports, was practically identical to the Steele dossier — and began to disseminate to the media its false information about Donald Trump’s supposed ties to the Russians.
    .
But the “second dossier” was too close to Hillary Clinton, and media outlets, likely recognizing that they would be identified as even greater shills for Clinton, recognized dossier number two as a political document and largely refused to run a story detailing its allegations, but for an embarrassingly hackish story in The Guardian.
    .
Although he had potential legal baggage as a foreigner and former British spy working on a U.S. political campaign, Steele’s credentials still provided the necessary authority to make his dossier appear as legitimate intelligence. Still, many saw the dossier for what it was — junk opposition “research” without any confirmed sources. Not even the likes of The New York Times and Washington Post would publish a dossier crafted by Christopher Steele, let alone Sidney Blumenthal and Cody Shearer, the Clinton family political hatchet men. But that’s what BuzzFeed is for. BuzzFeed publishing the Steele dossier — to this day, not a single major allegation in the dossier has been confirmed — gave a green light to the rest of the media to “report” on its absurd claims. The bogus dossier also provided the justification for the Obama administration (and later, rogue FBI directors in the Trump administration) to leverage the dossier to conduct surveillance on Trump-connected individuals.
    .
Because Steele was a “former spy,” that seemed to be enough for the likes of the late Sen. John McCain, fired FBI Director James Comey, former CIA chief John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and many other top lawmakers and government officials to stand by Steele’s Clinton-backed work for years. But now that the Mueller investigation has ended, those aforementioned former government officials are nowhere to be found when it comes to taking responsibility for advancing the Steele dossier.
    .
If Congress and the media are going to scrutinize what went wrong, their focus should begin with the Hillary Clinton campaign, and particularly Hillary Clinton herself. Was it merely a coincidence that the second dossier mirrored the first, or was Steele just a front man for the Russia hoax? To cast Christopher Steele as the man ultimately responsible for Spygate is to protect the individuals responsible for spawning the Russia hoax.

BARR: UNUSUAL FOR FBI TO RELY ON DOSSIER FILLED WITH ERRORS
    .
AG Bill Barr said that it is very unusual for the FBI to use such an error-ridden document like the DNC Dossier to be used as a primary source in an investigation.
    .
He says he has gotten answers to some of his questions that are just not to be believed. He says he now has more questions than when he started. But, he has more answers than he is letting on.
    .
You know he has been updated by Michael Horowitz, the IG of the DOJ and rumors are his soon to be turned in to Barr will contain a lot of criminal referrals.
    .
    From The Daily Caller
    .
Attorney General William Barr said in an interview that aired Friday that he is investigating what role the Steele dossier played in the Russia probe, and that the salacious document had “a number of clear mistakes.”
    .
“It’s a very unusual situation to have opposition research like that, especially one that on its face had a number of clear mistakes and a somewhat jejune analysis,” Barr told Fox News’ Bill Hemmer
    .
“And to use that to conduct counterintelligence against an American political campaign is a strange — would be strange development.”
    .
In the interview, Barr spoke at length about an inquiry he launched at the Justice Department into the origins of the Russia investigation. He told The Wall Street Journal in an interview that the investigation is also focusing on what information U.S. intelligence agencies gathered on Trump campaign associates before the FBI formally opened its investigation in July 2016.
    .
Christopher Steele, a former British spy, claimed in the dossier that the Trump campaign was involved in a “well-developed conspiracy of co-operation” with the Russian government to influence the 2016 election. He alleged that Page and other Trump associates, like Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen, were at the center of the scheme.
    .
But the special counsel’s report all but debunked the dossier’s central thesis, while dismissing one specific allegation about Cohen. The report said that prosecutors were unable to establish a conspiracy between the Trump team and Russia. It also said that Cohen did not visit Prague in August 2016, which is where the dossier claimed the former Trump lawyer went to pay off Russian hackers.

If the dossier was considered totally false 10 days prior to Comey & the FBI requesting a FISA Warrant and the following three FISA Warrants, sure shows there was something majorly wrong with the FBI & DOJ.

AG Barr’s reasoning for additional investigations.
    .
If it was so important for the FBI & Mueller to investigate if there was people trying to tip the scale of the election, then it’s really more important to investigate if there were people trying to tip the scale in the process of the election of President Trump, once it’s been found out there wasn’t people trying to tip the scale in regards to any Trump Russian collusion by Mueller.

NUNES SENDS ANOTHER CRIMINAL REFERRAL TO THE DOJ
    .
Rep Devin Nunes has sent another criminal referral to the DOJ and it encompasses many in the Deep State. Ironically the charges are obstruction of justice. In the FISA court, since only one side gets to present evidence.
    .
They are required by law to notify the court of any and all exculpatory evidence and in the case of the FISA warrants against Carter Page, that information was intentionally withheld. The top FBI and DOJ brass were informed by State Dept official, Kathleen Kavalecthat she had met with Christopher Steele and found that much of his information was demonstrably false.
    .
No one relayed that information to the court and instead falsely claimed that the dossier was verified when it was not.
    .
    From The Gateway Pundit
    .
Congressman Devin Nunes (R-CA) said on Sunday he will likely send an ‘obstruction’ criminal referral to the Justice Department over the meeting Christopher Steele had with a State Department official a week before the first FISA warrant was granted on Carter Page.
    .
Nunes said during his appearance on Fox News that the notes and memos State Department Kathleen Kavalec took about her meeting with former British spy Christopher Steele just 11 days before the first FISA warrant were withheld from the House Intelligence Committee during its investigation that ended last year.
    .
“It’s likely now, as we do our investigation as to why we didn’t get this information that we’ve just been discussing from the State Department two years ago when we should have received it, there could be another referral coming on obstructing a congressional investigation,” Nunes said.

Hillary Clinton and her campaign “plainly colluded” with the Russians to dig up dirt and spread false information about Trump, Nunes said.

    .
    My Thoughts:
    .
Basically it comes down to this, The FBI as told 10 prior to submitting the FISA warrant request to spy on the Trump campaign that the dossier wasn’t verified and false, but they requested the FISA warrant anyway using the dossier as the reason for the FISA warrant request.
    .
That is in direct conflict with the overall use of the FISA warrant, which states right at the top of the warrant, “All info contained within this FISA warrant request is factual and has been verified”, and everybody who signed off on the four FISA warrants, lied to the FISA court and in doing that committed felony and a federal crime under the law.

    IRONY ALERT:
    .
Admitted Leaker James Comey Says ‘Loose Talk’ About 2016 Election Could Hurt FBI
    .
Disgraced former FBI Boss James Comey -who admitted under oath to leaking classified material to a longtime friend- warned Friday that any “loose talk” regarding the 2016 election could potentially demoralize FBI agents across the country.
    .
“Investigate whatever you wish about 2016 but don’t forget the people of the FBI must investigate and stop Russian efforts in the 2020 election. What impact will loose talk about ‘spying’ and disgraceful talk about ‘treason’ have on FBI agents and analysts?” posted Comey on social media.
    .
President Trump gave Attorney General William Barr the green light Thursday night to investigate American intelligence agencies to determine whether they acted appropriately in surveilling the Trump campaign during the 2016 election.
    .
“President Donald Trump on Thursday granted Attorney General William Barr new powers to review and potentially release classified information related to the origins of the Russia investigation, a move aimed at accelerating Barr’s inquiry into whether U.S. officials improperly surveilled Trump’s 2016 campaign,” reports the Associated Press.
    .
“Trump directed the intelligence community to ‘quickly and fully cooperate’ with Barr’s probe. The directive marked an escalation in Trump’s efforts to ‘investigate the investigators,’ as he continues to try to undermine the findings of special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe amid mounting Democratic calls for impeachment proceedings,” adds the article.
    .
Barr’s new mission comes days after he announced the appointment of a US attorney to investigate the dubious origins of the government’s surveillance of Trump campaign associates.
    .
Attorney General William Barr questioned the DOJ’s use of the infamous ‘Steele Dossier’ to obtain FISA warrants against the Trump campaign this week; saying the document has a “number of clear mistakes.”
    .
“It’s a very unusual situation to have opposition research like that, especially one that on its face had a number of clear mistakes and a somewhat jejune analysis,” Barr told Fox News’ Bill Hemmer.
    .
“And to use that to conduct counterintelligence against an American political campaign is a strange — would be strange development,” he added.

Face The Facts: AG Barr’s Investigation Is The Only Way We Can Ever Learn THE TRUTH.
    .
The talking heads who represent the parochial interests of the intelligence community, the Democrats, much of the media and similar proportion of the NeverTrumpers are currently on the verge of an aneurysm over the thought that Attorney General Bill Barr has been charged with getting to the bottom of how the Russia hoax started. According to these people lives are in danger (they aren’t, but if we lived in a just society, they would be), sources and methods are at risk (I’m sure you will still be able to hire Perkins Coie to subcontract to some random foreigner any time you wish) and precious national secrets will be exposed…like the pee tapes.
    .
Let’s cut to the chase here and speak to exactly what we know from congressional testimony and the Mueller report.
    .
    1. There were no contacts between the Russian government and the Trump campaign. The closest contact you have is the infamous Trump Tower meeting and to make that nefarious you have to explain why at least two subcontractors to Fusion GPS were involved and how a Russian who was barred from entering the US managed to obtain special permission to enter the US for the meeting. And then you have to explain why one of the Russians met with Fusion GPS’s Glenn Simpson before and after the Trump Tower meeting.
    .
    2. Carter Page was the subject of a abuse of the FISA process. Even if one assumes his initial surveillance warrant was legit, it is obvious that the extension of that warrant was fraudulent.
    .
    3. The only people endangered here are Stefan Halper, Alexander Downer, and Joseph Mifsud, and it is their value as agents provocateur that is at risk, not their lives or jobs or finances.
    .
But if you want to understand why no one in Washington believes that just asking the FBI for information will work, even with the power of federal law, check this out:
    .
    Read More: https://en-volve.com/2019/05/27/face...arn-the-truth/
    .
My Thoughts: Now you understand why the Democrats, FBI, CIA & DOJ don’t want full disclosure of the background facts to come out, which makes you wonder why the Democrats are so determined to see the 1% of the Mueller report that is redacted, even though they have complete access to view it if they want too in a controlled setting.

Lindsey Graham Drops A Truth Bomb – ‘Obama Is Worried Declassification Will Expose Him!’
    .
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham appeared on Fox News with host Chris Wallace. During the interview Graham noted that the only people worried about the declassification of the origins of the Trump Russia investigation are on the Obama administration.
    .
The entire interview showed how radical left Chris Wallace is and his lack of wanting truth exposed. Wallace does nothing but shills for the Democrat party whenever he is on air.
    .
Graham stated, “I want all the documents around the FISA warrant application released. I want to find out exactly how the counterintelligence operation began. I think transparency is good for the American people. Not one Democrat seems to care.”
    .
Graham continued, “I wish some Democrat would come forward to find out if the FISA court was defrauded by the FBI and the Department of Justice.”
    .
Graham noted, “The people who are worried about this are worried about being exposed for taking the law into their own hands. It doesn’t surprise me that the people we’re looking at, they don’t want transparency.”
    .
Graham concluded, “We’re not compromising national security here. We’re trying to create a system to make sure this never happens again by shedding light on what happened with the FISA warrant process, the counterintelligence investigation. Did they have a lawful reason to surveil President Trump’s campaign? Did they lie to the FISA court? Every American should want to find that out.”

Secret FBI Chain Email Has Most ‘Damning Evidence’ To Date
    .
The email chain was hidden from most members of Congress and shows an even greater extent of corruption and illegal manipulation carried out by the former administration.
    .
According to John Solomon, the most damning evidence to date could be released soon thanks to President Trump’s declassification order.
    .
The evidence? An email chain that has been hidden from most members of congress for the last two years.
    .
Writing for the Hill, Solomon reported:
    .
Sources tell me the targeted documents [for declassification] may provide the most damning evidence to date of potential abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), evidence that has been kept from the majority of members of Congress for more than two years.
    .
The email exchanges included then-FBI Director James Comey, key FBI investigators in the Russia probe and lawyers in the DOJ’s national security division, and they occurred in early to mid-October, before the FBI successfully secured a FISA warrant to spy on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
    .
The email exchanges show the FBI was aware — before it secured the now-infamous warrant — that there were intelligence community concerns about the reliability of the main evidence used to support it: the Christopher Steele dossier.
    .
The exchanges also indicate FBI officials were aware that Steele, the former MI6 British intelligence operative then working as a confidential human source for the bureau, had contacts with news media reporters before the FISA warrant was secured.
    .
The FBI fired Steele on Nov. 1, 2016 — two weeks after securing the warrant — on the grounds that he had unauthorized contacts with the news media.
    .
But the FBI withheld from the American public and Congress until months later that Steele had been paid to find his dirt on Trump by a firm doing political opposition research for the Democratic Party and for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton; and that Steele himself harbored hatred for Trump.
    .
If the FBI knew of his media contacts and the concerns about the reliability of his dossier before seeking the warrant, it would constitute a serious breach of FISA regulations and the trust that the FISA court places in the FBI.
    .
That’s because the FBI has an obligation to certify to the court before it approves FISA warrants that its evidence is verified, and to alert the judges to any flaws in its evidence or information that suggest the target might be innocent.
    .
We now know the FBI used an article from Yahoo News as independent corroboration for the Steele dossier when, in fact, Steele had talked to the news outlet.
    .
If the FBI knew Steele had that media contact before it submitted the article, it likely would be guilty of circular intelligence reporting, a forbidden tactic in which two pieces of evidence are portrayed as independent corroboration when, in fact, they originated from the same source.
    .
These issues are why the FBI email chain, kept from most members of Congress for the past two years, suddenly landed on the declassification list.
    .
The addition to the list also comes at a sensitive time, as House Republicans prepare on Friday to question Comey, who signed off on the FISA warrant while remaining an outlier in the intelligence community about the Steele dossier.
    .
Most intelligence officials, such as former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, have embraced the concerns laid out in the Steele dossier of possible — but still unproven — collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
    .
Yet, 10 months after the probe started and a month after Robert Mueller was named special counsel in the Russia probe, Comey cast doubt on the Steele dossier, calling it “unverified” and “salacious” in sworn testimony before Congress.
    .
Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page further corroborated Comey’s concerns in recent testimony before House lawmakers, revealing that the FBI had not corroborated the collusion charges by May 2017, despite nine months of exhaustive counterintelligence investigation.
    .
Lawmakers now want to question Comey about whether the information in the October email string contributed to the former FBI director’s assessment.
    .
The question long has lingered about when the doubts inside the FBI first surfaced about the allegations in the Steele dossier.
    .
Sources tell me the email chain provides the most direct evidence that the bureau, and possibly the DOJ, had reasons to doubt the Steele dossier before the FISA warrant was secured.
    .
Sources say the specifics of the email chain remain classified, but its general sentiments about the Steele dossier and the media contacts have been discussed in nonclassified settings.
    .
“If these documents are released, the American public will have clear and convincing evidence to see the FISA warrant that escalated the Russia probe just before Election Day was flawed and the judges [were] misled,” one knowledgeable source told me.
    .
Congressional investigators also have growing evidence that some evidence inserted into the fourth and final application for the FISA — a document signed by current Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein — was suspect.
    .
Nunes hinted as much himself in comments he made on Sean Hannity’s Fox News TV show on Nov. 20, when he disclosed the FBI email string was added to the declassification request. The release of the documents will “give finality to everyone who wants to know what their government did to a political campaign” and verify that the Trump campaign did not collude with Russia during the election, Nunes said.
    .
As more of the secret evidence used to justify the Russia probe becomes public, an increasingly dark portrait of the FBI’s conduct emerges.
    .
The bureau, under a Democratic-controlled Justice Department, sought a warrant to spy on the duly nominated GOP candidate for president in the final weeks of the 2016 election, based on evidence that was generated under a contract paid by his political opponent.
    .
That evidence, the Steele dossier, was not fully vetted by the bureau and was deemed unverified months after the warrant was issued.
    .
At least one news article was used in the FISA warrant to bolster the dossier as independent corroboration when, in fact, it was traced to a news organization that had been in contact with Steele, creating a high likelihood it was circular intelligence reporting.
    .
And the entire warrant, the FBI’s own document shows, was being rushed to approval by two agents who hated Trump and stated in their own texts that they wanted to “stop” the Republican from becoming president.
    .
If ever there were grounds to investigate the investigators, these facts provide the justification.
    .
Director Comey and Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein likely hold the answers, as do the still-classified documents. It’s time all three be put under a public microscope.
    .
Agreed. God willing, it will happen sooner than later.
    .

    My Thoughts:
    .
This article proves that the FBI knew that the Steele dossier was fake and unverified 10 days prior to them requesting the first of four FISA warrants and with that info not given to the FISA court, everyone who signed these FISA Warrants were guilty of lying to the FISA court, which is committing an illegal federal law that could cause them to be charged.

William Barr determined to unravel truth behind Russia lie
    .
Looking for some great weekend reading? Look no further than the transcript of the CBS News interview with Attorney General William Barr.
    .
Calling it a bombshell doesn’t do it justice. The interview is chock-full of one explosive comment after another about special counsel Robert Mueller, the media and Barr’s own investigation of the investigators.
    .
Here are some nuclear-grade examples of what the AG has to say:
    .
“So it was bogus, this whole idea that Trump was in cahoots with the Russians is bogus.”
    .
“It’s hard to read some of the [FBI] texts and not feel that there was gross bias at work, and they’re appalling.”
    .
“The use of foreign-intelligence capabilities and counterintelligence capabilities against an American political campaign to me is unprecedented and it’s a serious red line that’s been crossed.”
    .
“The media reaction is strange. Normally the media would be interested in letting the sunshine in and finding out what the truth is.”
    .
“One of the ironies today is that people are saying that it’s President Trump that’s shredding our institutions. I really see no evidence of that . . . From my perspective the idea of resisting a democratically elected president and basically throwing everything at him and you know, really changing the norms on the grounds that we have to stop this president, that is where the shredding of our norms and our institutions is occurring.”
    .
There’s much more, making the interview, on top of other things Barr has said, like Christmas, July 4th and Thanksgiving all rolled into one. A new era in Washington has begun. Hallelujah!

The old era will not be missed. Recall a revealing moment on Jan. 3, 2017, just weeks before Trump took office, when Sen. Chuck Schumer warned the president-elect against feuding with the CIA. “You take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you,” he said.
    .
Perhaps Schumer knew then how far intelligence leaders under Barack Obama had gone in spying on Trump and how far they were willing to go to bring down a president they opposed. The effort continues to this day by those same people — James Comey, John Brennan and James Clapper — even though they are out of office.
    .
While there is still much we don’t know, Barr seems absolutely determined to learn it all — and tell the public as much as he can.
    .
Hence his mocking of the media for trying to quash his probe and the declassification of key documents by claiming he would reveal sources and secrets. The New York Times, the errand boy for the deep state, actually said in a news story that Barr could “weaken the CIA” and endanger the lives of sources.
    .
It cited the example of one intelligence source it said was close enough to Vladimir Putin to tell Obama’s team that Putin had personally ordered Russian meddling in 2016.
    .
The paper, quoting “former intelligence officials,” almost certainly including Brennan, wrote that the then-CIA chief “would bring reports from the Russian source directly to the White House, keeping them out of the president’s daily intelligence briefing,” and instead “place them in an envelope for Mr. Obama and a tiny circle of aides to read.”
    .
But wait — didn’t the Times just give Putin a big clue about a CIA source in his inner circle? And didn’t the paper just admit that the agency’s conclusion about *Putin’s role came from a single source?
    .
The answer to both questions is yes, making the Times far more of a danger to CIA sources and *secrets than Barr.
    .
In the same article, the Times also buries a rather startling fact: The CIA and the National Security Agency took part in the “inquiry” into the Trump campaign.
    .
Then again, the Gray Lady, The Washington Post, CNN and others long ago stopped being real news organizations. They were cheerleaders for the coercive liberalism of the Obama years and marched in complete lockstep with the assumption that Hillary Clinton would and should be the next president.
    .
In the beginning, they laughed at Trump and looked down on his supporters as unwashed interlopers. Once he got the GOP nomination, they turned their blowtorches on him to make sure he never sat in the Oval Office.
    .
After his election, they became part of the resistance or, in Steve Bannon’s memorable phrase, “the opposition party.”
    .
Despite their abandonment of all journalistic standards to become partisan shills, the anti-Trump media remain a powerful force in American life. Democrats and the rest of the left, ranging from academics to late-night comedians, take their cues from the Times and its ilk.

Bill Barr defends claim that 'spying did occur' on Trump campaign
For two years, the paper and its fellow travelers led the charge on Russia, Russia, Russia and routinely called Trump a traitor. Like crazed Dems Jerry Nadler, Adam Schiff and Maxine Waters, the left-wing media are still dead-enders for a lost cause.
    .
All the more reason why Barr must charge ahead. He knows the personal smears already thrown at him are just the start, but he told CBS reporter Jan Crawford he feels a sense of duty because, at 69, “it really doesn’t make any *difference.”
    .
“I realize we live in a crazy *hyperpartisan period of time and I knew that it would only be a matter of time if I was behaving responsibly and calling them as I see them, that I would be attacked because nowadays people don’t care about the merits and the substance,” he said. “They only care about who it helps, who benefits, whether my side benefits or the other side benefits, everything is gauged by politics.”
    .
His commitment to protect the rule of law is twinned with a fatalistic view of the future.
    .
“Everyone dies and I am not, you know, I don’t believe in the Homeric idea that immortality comes by . . . having odes sung about you over the centuries.”
    .
Maybe not Homeric odes, but if Barr can get to the bottom of the insider plot against Trump, America will be forever in his debt.

If you arrest and start investigations into each, all of that truth will come out. Don't single out the Russia lie because it's all tied together.
