    RAT CITY:
    .
LAPD Officers Diagnosed with Typhus, Other Diseases Linked to Massive Rat Infestation
    .
Multiple officers serving with the Los Angeles Police Department were diagnosed this week with Typhus and other diseases related to the city’s exploding rat population.
    .
“An officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Station has contracted Salmonella Typhi, the bacteria that causes typhoid fever, and another is suspected of contracting typhus, a disease carried by rats and fleas, the LAPD told the I-Team Wednesday,” reports NBC Los Angeles.
    .
“Typhoid fever is a life-threatening illness, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Typhoid fever is rare in industrialized countries like the United States, per the CDC,” adds the article.
    .
Los Angeles continued its ongoing struggle with rampant homelessness and crumbling infrastructure weeks ago, with residents complaining of “rotting trash piles” that are attacking rats and posing a major risk to the health of residents and tourists.
    .
“Rat-infested piles of rotting garbage left uncollected by the city of Los Angeles, even after promises to clean it up, are fueling concerns about a new epidemic after last year’s record number of flea-borne typhus cases,” reports NBC Los Angeles.
    .
“Even the city’s most notorious trash pile, located between downtown LA’s busy Fashion and Produce districts, continues to be a magnet for rats after it was cleaned up months ago. The rodents can carry typhus-infected fleas, which can spread the disease to humans through bacteria rubbed into the eyes or cuts and scrapes on the skin, resulting in severe flu-like symptoms,” adds the article.
    .
“I can’t walk down the street without thinking that a flea could jump on me,” complained a local business owner.
    .
“It’s something that we’ll look into,” said Pepe Garica, of Los Angeles’ bureau of sanitation.
    .
The nation’s second largest city is also home to some of the country’s worst traffic conditions.

Perhaps the pied piper of the republican party and the darling of his idiot followers could go to LA and led them all into the Pacific. Think of the boasting he would be able to do....

Diseases Are Running Rampant in California
    .
    Typhus. Tuberculosis. Bubonic Plague?

    .
    Welcome to Hollywood!
    .
Well, downtown Los Angeles to be precise. Right where Mayor Eric Garcetti works, in City Hall, where the city’s filth-laden rats sickened a worker recently.
    .
In downtown’s LAPD headquarters, staff are also falling prey to vermin-borne disease.
    .
Heaps of festering trash litter the streets—not just around infamous Skid Row, but throughout the rapidly gentrifying urban core, which was supposed to be a glorious leading indicator of America’s allegedly high-density future.
    .
The homeless have set up all but permanent encampments, yet despite activists’ claims often don’t want government shelter. They’re mentally ill and hooked on drugs, and don’t want to—or can’t—live functional lives.
    .
And there’s no end in sight.
    .
LA has thrown heaps of voter approved money at the problem, only to build a relative handful of new housing units. Meanwhile rents keep rising, poorer tenants keep getting pushed out, and the cost of living has grown so high that in state capital Sacramento they’re seriously considering subsidies for government workers struggling to live close enough to their jobs in Tinseltown.
    .
    Then there’s San Francisco.
    .
The City by the Bay makes LA look like paradise. SF, literally covered in human feces, is America’s most dystopian big city, with a hardened core of homeless, addicts, users, and poor on one end and ultra-rich Brahmins on the other. While the elite dreams of using technology to leave the limits of humanity behind, the underclass sinks to subhuman lows.
    .
This isn’t just the future the Left wants. It’s the present the Left is forcing onto more and more of America.
    .
Like the mayors of California’s failing metropolises, Governor Gavin Newsom and Senator Kamala Harris proudly tout their “progressive” state as a model to the country—if not the world. Meanwhile they’re leading the West Coast back into the dark ages.
    .
They say they’re the champions of public health and individual freedom to do as you please… while they force the people into squalor, danger, and increasing isolation. Their world is a horror that breeds loneliness, depression, disease, and resentment.
    .

The very opposite of the American Dream.
    .
It ought to make Democrats’ skin crawl. Their 2020 candidates ought to be running like mad to disavow California—and the colonies West Coast refugees are setting up in states like Arizona, Texas, and Colorado. Instead, the clueless contenders are living in a fantasy land… whining about Trump, rolling out absurd plans with no chance of coming true, and ignoring the disgusting elephant in the room.
    .
Just as they refuse to touch Obama’s legacy, they won’t say a peep about the places their party has ruled with absolute power.
    .
They won’t admit it: their ideology literally breeds disease.
    .
If America wants to survive, it’s time to unleash the disinfectant.

    My Thoughts:
    .
They can thank the Democrats that have been in power there for the last 30 years, sure didn't have that problem when Reagan was governor.
We lived there during the 70s & 80’s and it’s turned into a sh!t hole since then in certain areas.

    UNPRECEDENTED POVERTY
    .
Los Angeles Officials ‘STUNNED’ by 16% JUMP in Homeless Population
    .
Los Angeles officials claimed they were “stunned” this week when new data showed a whopping 16% increase in the city’s homeless population in just one year; saying residents are now facing an “unprecedented” level of poverty.
    .
“Despite an increase in spending on initiatives meant to get people off the streets, homelessness is up dramatically in Los Angeles and Los Angeles County, officials said Tuesday,” reports The Week.
    .
“The annual count of the homeless found there are nearly 59,000 people living on the streets, in shelters, or in cars in Los Angeles County, up 12 percent from last year. More than 36,000 are in the city of Los Angeles, a 16 percent increase,” adds the website.
    .
“At this point of unprecedented wealth in the county of Los Angeles, we are equally confronted with unprecedented poverty manifesting itself in the form of homelessness,” Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas told the Los Angeles Times.
    .
“Overall, the service portion of the effort on mental health, substance use, the issue of housing, rent subsidies, those are important and we should stay the course,” he said. “Where we have to work much harder is in the area of affordable housing.”
    .
The current rat invasion sweeping across Los Angeles extended into an unlikely place this week: City Hall. Experts are now blaming the infestation on “homeless camps” circling the public property.
    .
“When faced with complaints earlier this year from city workers about rats infesting L.A. City Hall, most city officials said little about whether the problem was connected to several homeless camps right outside,” reports the Los Angeles Times.
    .
“But a newly uncovered report from a pest control company hired by the city has raised fresh questions about whether officials wrongly downplayed that possibility during discussions at City Council meetings,” adds the newspaper.
    .
According to the pest control company hired to clear city hall, workers found “poor sanitary conditions” including human waste, food, and needles throughout the property.
    .
“The homeless are using the grated areas above the pits as their bathroom and relieving themselves,” wrote David Costa, building construction and maintenance superintendent. “This is also attracting the rats. Custodial will need to do some hazmat cleaning of the grates and the pits. There are even hypodermic needles being tossed in the pits along with human waste and other garbage.”
    .
The invasion comes after two LAPD officers were diagnosed with Typhus and other serious diseases related to the city’s rat population.

    My Thoughts:
    .
Why should they be “stunned”? They encouraged it. Democrat run state, doing what they do best. Stunned? Wow, don’t they understand the impact of being a SANCTUARY STATE? I’m stunned that they haven’t made this connection.
