Pelosi On Impeachment Witnesses: “It’s Not A Question” Of “Proof” It’s About “Allegations”

My Thoughts:
This has been the Democrat approach for a long time--going back to the early 1990's with Speaker of the House Tom Foley (D, MA): "Even though there is no evidence, the seriousness of the charge is what matters. The seriousness of the charge mandates that we investigate this." We saw the same approach in the Kavanaugh hearings: no evidence, but the seriousness of the unsubstantiated charge dragged a family through the mud for months. Due Process used to require *evidence* or *proof*; sadly now, it seems that all the Dems require is an *allegation* or *charge*. This is a dangerous place to be--anyone can allege anything and you're toast because how do you prove a negative? Dangerous territory indeed!
