Thread: GIVE Bill H.R. 1388

  1. Angry GIVE Bill H.R. 1388

The G.I.V.E. bill passed the House last week. The GIVE Bill requires every student to participate in mandatory voluteering from middleschool through college. The list below is the prohibited activites while in the program (as it is worded, it would include nights, weekends, etc)

I thought everyone should know what is in this bill. I felt it was my duty to let everyone know what is in this bill. Pay special attention to sections 7 and 10.

While doing community service is always a good thing, I don't believe that students who make good grades and do well on their standardized tests should be denied their diplomas for NOT doing it. People should do it because it's what is in their hearts and because they want to, not because they have to.
Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.

any member of congress that supports this bill needs to be fired. It's still hard to believe that Americans have become so stupid that they turned our country over to these communists.

  5. The problem I am trying to highlight is while in the program, nights, weekends, etc included, they prohibit you from writing your elected leaders, signing petitions, actively participating in any religious activities, or anything else they feel like.

    10. Such other activities as the Corporation may prohibit.

Dear Leader is pushing a little too much. If this gets signed into law I can see everybody and their brother filing lawsuits. Totally unconstitutional! A definite jump from Socialism to Communism.
