  3. I'm inclined to think the back drop was done for lighting and filming reasons. Filming can be difficult and a good background can help alot... it make the subject pop.

    That's what I'm going with, otherwise it is just too silly to even think about.

    2beararms, I think you've had your fill of Kool-Aid. And it's not JUST Obama (or whoever he is), it is the liberal, leftist, socialistic minds that are rapidly leading us into the New World Order and trashing our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

    Let's get it straight ... If the crap hits the fan, you will either decide to stand up, next to the next guy and defend AMERICA as and AMERICAN and rally around the flag and WHOEVER is leading the country at that time or you will find yourself being declared the enemy by those who do.
    We have already been declared "the enemy" in case you're too dense to read the news lately. And it is US who are rallying around the flag, and the Constitution, as those supposedly "leading the country" continue to work at destroying what is left of this country.

    Personally, I thought George W. Bush was the worst president we have ever had BUT for eight years he was MY president and as an American, for that period I respected the office... THAT is what AMERICANS do!
    Oh, so you respected Bush when he was in office? Have you been on another planet the last 8 years? The liberals and their media cohorts trashed Bush constantly, and then trashed McCain and really trashed Palin during the election. Respect for Bush? Pray tell, where? I'll tell you what - I'll give the same respect to Obama that you gave to Bush.

    Look at what is happening in this country lately. We AMERICANS are showing that we are very dissatisfied with what is going on. Obama is filling his cabinet with crook after crook, bipartisanship has been thrown out the window, Pelosi, Reid, et al, are thumbing their noses at conservativers and stating that "we won and now you're going to get what's coming to you."

    I would suggest that you go back and actually read the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and then tell YOUR president (he ain't mine!) that he was sworn to uphold and defend the same. That re-writing the Constitution is NOT a choice! Read especially in the Declaration where it says:

    That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.
    And by the way, this is MY country, and I'm not going anywhere. You question MY patriotism and allegiance to my country, you're crossing the line. I served my country when people like you were spitting on us.

    There is indeed too much vitriole being spewed about our current president. If you think the volume of this idiotic venom increased when Barack Obama took office, I'll beg to differ with you. Every president is greeted with a firehose of pinheads blabbing on and on about an infinite array of falsehoods and mistruths. Whether or not Barack Obama decides to wear an American flag on his lapel makes no difference to me. If he chooses to face Mecca and perform his daily rituals....so be it...enjoy your freedom of religion. I enjoy mine.

    I don't agree Bush is the worst president we've ever had. My opinion is mine, and mine alone.

    My primary reason for being suspicious of the current administration revolves around my 2nd amendment rights.

    I don't care about Bush's religion. I don't care about Obama's. What I will tell you is that the those seeking to infringe upon my right to keep and bear arms DO capture my attention.

    I respect your opinion and can see you're passionate about your beliefs.

    However, if someone tells me, "We're going to change your constitution and if you don't like it, you can just leave."....well....let's just say we're not going to see eye to eye.

    I'll defend the constitution...but those who choose to change it - piecemeal - to progress their ideologies - shall not be defended by this American.

    It's entirely too early to give Barack Obama a 'report card'....but at the semester break, I hope he reconsiders pending legislation and revisits the direction of our founding fathers IN THE ARENA OF MY CONSTITUTIONALLY GUARANTEED RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS.

    If I don't like the way my country works, I'll use my rights and my elected representatives to change it. I won't leave. This is my country.

    I wish everyone in this forum would focus on our constitutional right to keep and bear arms, the preservation thereof, and expose those who wish to remove said rights. This is the 2nd Amendment and Politics section of this website. If anyone - black, white, Democrat, Republican, Jewish, Christian or Muslim - takes aim on the abolishment of the 2nd Amendment....we should band together to identify, expose, resist and repeal their intentions.

    That's all I'm saying.....

    2bear, who is trashing those documents. (Constitution,Bill of Rights)? By the way, I would rather invoke the name of Jesus, than deny it.Some one is trying to distance this country from its roots, and turn it into something other than a Democratic Republic. The Founding Fathers had the right idea. We are headed toward a socialistic totalitarian society, and I and many do not like it. As far as the election, their are a lot of Questions. Acorn!

    Bush was the worst president we ever had, Regan was the second worst president we ever had. They both sucked. Bush because he let his second and third in command run him like a puppet and when they did allow him to make decisions, he was to stupid to do anything right. And Regan because he was a lier about the whole "tear down your wall" thing. That wall was falling long before Regan came to office. Regan was a shameless opportunist. Why the media still paints him as a hero I can only surmise because he looked good in a cowboy hat. Or maybe they don't want to beat up on an old senile president. Boo hoo, he sucked.
    And for those of you who say things like "Obama...He anit my president", you are not only unpatriotic, but you must not understand what it means when the nation elects a president. Guess what...He is your president and by saying he is not doesn't make you special. Feel free to disagree with him and do it loudly if you wish, but he is and will be yours and my president until he is not.
    This site could do much more for the advancement of gun ownership if the clucks promoting god and a government guided by "gods hand" would just go away. Stick to the pursuit of true morality found in the close examination of laws past and future.     You are exactly what makes this Country Great.

    You have the right to voice your opion.

    I also have the right to disagree, and continue to beleive, in my God, and My Country.

    I also think we should really stick to the pursuit of true morality found in the close examination of what it took to make this a free Country, it surely wasn't Liberals, because it took Guts, and God to do it.

    It also took strong leaders that were more interested in the future of this Country than their own Socialist agenda to write and uphold the Constitution of United States.

    You should check out DownsizeDC.org it may be a step in the right direction.

    Except their ideas are for upholding the Constitution not free hand outs.

    We see where your politics lay. I agree "W" Bush was not the best president we ever had (but he wasn't the worst either), however, Reagan was far from being even second worst and was much better than Clinton. If you think I'm strictly republican you are very wrong. I still believe JFK was the best president in my life time. As for politicians thet lie, well they all do including our current president (notice I said "our" current president). This country was founded on "In God We Trust" and we have lost that fundamental principal. We allow groups to take anything that mentions, or alludes to religeon out of our schools. To remove the Ten Commandments (the basis for all laws) from court rooms. Now there is a push to remove "In God We Trust" from our currency. You don't have to believe in God, that's your right. To force the removal of what this country was founded on is just as wrong as trying to force you to believe in God. The Constitution protects the right of freedom of religeon because it is part of what this country was built on.

    When you find your rights, all of them, being thrown under the bus, don't go crying about how YOUR president promised he wouldn't take away your right to keep and BEAR arms (I bare my arms every day, and haven't been arrested yet) and then came for yours. Right now, the "public" is being told that having a gun is so dangerous that only the police and military should have them. Or don't you know Pelosi or Holder or Neapolitano from the news? HR45? The assault weapons ban? You Do know how to read, don't you?

    Hey guys, WAL has some points. REGAN (who was he?) might have been a LIER (does this mean he stayed in bed?) and may not have had anything to do with the Berlin wall, and WAL does seem to know something about stupid people. Oh, and those of us who live in the warmer part of the US appreciate the right to bare arms. Now, if he meant to say that Bush and REAGAN were the two worst Presidents, I'll disagree. Neither man killed as many Americans exercising their rights as Lincoln did, neither man hurt the economy as badly as Carter, Hoover or FD Roosevelt did, neither man made as big an embarrassment of the US as Carter did when he allowed Iran to take and hold our citizens as hostages.
