Thread: Palin Calls Obama Health Plan 'Evil'

Name calling occurs on both sides. Look at some of those concerning Obama. Either way it's not the way to present an argument or have a discussion. When you resort to this type of tactics you've already lost mainly because the other side simply shuts down and doesn't listen to anything more you have to say. Discussions should consist of facts and only facts. Now concerning the "death panel" whether it would exist or not I don't want a state run health care program forced on the public. I don't want the state to own major business either. This is not what a Republic is about. It's about the people having control, not the government.

Actually, I'm right. Read the articles I've linked to from my last post. No provisons for these alleged "death panels" are anywhere to be found in the bill. I dislike the idea of taxpayer funded health care for drunks, smokers, alcoholics, promiscuous people, and other people who make poor lifestyle choices just as much as you do, but I'm also not going to demonize it on the basis of something that's totally untrue that's being spouted off by Sarah Palin, who has the IQ of a grapefruit (which is not a compliment, by the way).

What would you call a non-optional government bureaucracy that decides whether you are too young or too old to receive treatment that they will pay for?

Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.

Death panels were never there. That is why they said they were going to take them out because they were never there. Guess they have the IQ of a grape.

Have to agree to disagree again...

Educate yourself on Governor Sarah Palin in a unbiased manner...
She's Real-People as the saying goes...
She means what she says and she does what she says...
She does not hide who or what she is or where she came from...
We know more about Governor Sarah Palin then we do about Obama...

She is a shining example of what a true Conservative or true American for that matter should be...

We all could only hope for more American women to be more like Governor Sarah Palin...

instead of sitting on her butt, complaining about how thing were; When she did not like they way things were going in her school system, and City that affected her children, her friends family and neighbors she did something about it...
    She ran for City Council...
She made commendable accomplishments there, but found that she could not affect all the change that she and her neighbors and her family of school teachers, hunters, fisherman, people of faith etc., felt was necessary, so they encouraged her to run for Mayor...
    She won...
All the while, being a active mom, owner of several successful small-businesses...
A Hunter, Uncompromising Second Amendment supporter, much like her father, and family are...
(How many successful women do you know that hunt & fish and can field dress a moose and or bear?)
Her overwhelming success and popularity as a City Council Woman, Mayor, Small-Business Owner, drove her friends and family and neighbors to encourage her to run for Governor, which she easily won...
The woman went after incumbent members of her own party whom were corrupt with a vengeance, and took care of business...
She left office on a high-point instead of on a lame-duck status...
Her accomplishments are many her failures are few...
I sincerely hope we have not seen or heard the last of one of the greatest American Woman of our time to-date Governor Sarah Palin...

Her presence and threat to the the Usurper Administrations 2nd term is clear... the Democrats and Biased Media's assault on Governor Sarah Palin has been nearly non-stop since she was selected as V.P. ...
Nearly twice as many people listened to her speech at the RNC then McCains or Obama's at the DNC...
Even after the election, they cannot seem to go a day without finding something to diminish Governor Sarah Palin on...

And then we have individuals such as yourself whom add fuel to the fire, and hurt our own cause by joining in on the unsubstantiated b.s. ...

Just because you say it is so, or you repeat some left-wing talking point, or some out of context right wing or other talking point, does not make it so...

    Put up or shut up...

IF you actually read the Senate & House versions of the bills, AND the links that you posted in their entirety, instead of the few lines that say no death panels you would clearly see their assessment is no different then mine and most other Americans whom actually read the fricking bills...
Instead of the media's talking points...

    From your own link(s)...
"...tell the defenders of the notorious Section 1233 of H.R. 3200 that it is not quite as benign as they pretend. To offer government reimbursement to any doctor who gives end-of-life counseling -- whether or not the patient asked for it -- is to create an incentive for such a chat... " - Charles Krauthammer

"There is some fear because in the House bill, there is counseling for end-of-life. And from that standpoint, you have every right to fear. You shouldn't have counseling at the end of life. You ought to have counseling 20 years before you're going to die. You ought to plan these things out. And I don't have any problem with things like living wills. But they ought to be done within the family. We should not have a government program that determines if you're going to pull the plug on grandma." - Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA)
    Finance
Coincidentally Senator Grassley is behind the REMOVAL of the Death Panel Clause in Ted Kennedy's Senate Bill that Obama & Company state was not there...

    The House provisions still remain...

As does the "Health Choices Commissioner" and the "Health Choices Administration"...

A Death Panel by any other name is STILL a Death Panel...

The House health care reform bill would establish a new entity called the Health Choices Administration, headed by a presidential appointee to be called the Health Choices Commissioner. Sounds wonderful, right? A government official whose only job is to make sure you have health care choices, right?
No. If you read the bill – Title I, Subtitle E, Sections 141-143, on pages 41-48 – it turns out that the Health Choices Commissioner’s job is, essentially, to make your health choices for you...

And as the Supreme Court has ruled many, many times in the past...
IF a piece of legislation does not specifically unambiguously stipulate a certain activity is prohibited it is allowed...

That is why both the stinking House & Senate versions of ObamaCare are so fricking vague...

I'm a fan of Sarah Palin's, for all the reasons listed and more. I think she's a refreshing alternative to the "Business-as-usual" politicians we've had since forever, and (from a Conservative's point of view) the best candidate to come along since Reagan. Besides, what makes anyone think that a Governor from Alaska, the largest State, with the biggest State Military budget, which is at the cutting edge of International operations (Alaska is still the home of the DEW System, is it not? NORAD?)...what makes you think that this woman is less qualified than a peanut farmer from Georgia or a Governor from Arkansas...which ranks 48th among States with those 25 and over who hold Bachelor's degrees or higher, for example (http://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/rankings.html)?

What is it about Liberals which make it acceptable for one woman to "suck it up" and overlook her husband's White House philandering and public equivocation for the sake of political expediency, but excoriates another for achieving the epitome of the Woman's movement...success on her own terms in the World arena? Why is it that Obama's pursuit of political success while raising a family is somehow OK but Palin's is ridiculed?

My own father voted for Obama and...being a child of the Depression...is still convinced that the Democrats are out to help the common man. I'm not. George Bush's administration had more minority employees than Clinton's - the "First Black President". He overlooks, ignores or forgets that those Southern Governors who stood in the doorways of public schools with their State Police and refused entry to little black boys and girls...were primarily Democrats! Real Civil Rights was won by Republicans. Obama has apparently succeeded in bringing the Illinois Democratic Machine to Washington and setting up shop on a National level! These are very interesting times.

I have an expression: "Everybody's allowed to piss on his own shoes." What they're NOT allowed to do is piss on MINE. Obama's doing a great job of the former, and making a real effort to do the latter. For me, given what I know about her and hear from her, I think Palin would have been a much better choice. SHe'll have my vote if she chooses to run again, and THIS time I hope she's not the VICE-Presidential candidate!

I believe both Governor Sarah Palin and Governor Mike Huckabee are more conservative then Ronald Reagan... whom sold us out on such things as the 1986 FOPA, Stinking Free Trade Agreements, (Abortion when a Governor), Social Security Entitlements, and the list goes on...

Don't get me wrong, Reagan was the most conservative president in decades before and since his presidency...
Does not make his sell-outs any easier to swallow...

I would be ecstatic with a Huckabee/Palin or Palin/Huckabee ticket...

I also cannot leave out Alan Keyes, Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Wayne Root as also being much more conservative then Ronald Reagan...

I would certainly support any of them if they could poll within 5%-6% of the front-runners, giving them a actual chance to win...

As usual when liberals feel threatened they will trash the messenger, but don't dare trash their messenger for they only care about your well being. Liberals don't care about personal gain. they just want you to make the right decisions, with their help of course, If only us uninformed simpletons could make the correct decisions for our selves, they would not have to worry so much. I guess they may be right after all. More Socialism please.

I was an Alan Keyes fan for a long time, and he's recently said some things that reinforce that, but he also has a sort of Ross Perot wackiness gene that's shown through a few times giving me second thoughts. I would also place Zell Miller on that list...a Conservative Democrat of the first magnitude. Huckabee's a breath of fresh air with respect to his easy-going Conservatism and would make a good pairing with Palin. I'm still not sure about Ron Paul...while we need a good Conservative shot in the arm, Ron Paul is more like electroshock therapy, and may be overkill. We'll see where we stand in 2011, if we're all still here and able to vote...!!

Sarah Palin has more guts, courage and common sense than Obama and Biden put together. She is not a baby killer like those 2 dead beats! She understands that the Constitution is still the law of the land. Go Sarah!
