    2. You could get paid more at work as health care expenses go up the companies shift cost to the workers or cut back in other ways. If the bill will control cost your employer will be able to give you some more money.

    3. Peace of mind. Say you have health insurance now, your healthy and have a great job. But say something happens to you and you debvelop a medical condition and for some reason have to change jobs or become self employed. You might or will be denyed coverage.

    4. Emergency Room waits would be shorter because your uninsured use these doctors for their primary care doctors which makes the people who have insurance thats their have to wait longer.

    5. Small business will benefit due to reform creating subsidies to help them pay for insurance for their employees. This would also boost the economy.

Folks the time for health care reform has come. Whether you agree with Barack Obama or the GOP lets work together to come up with a plan. The USA is ranked 37th in the world by the world health organization. We should be #1. This is America please put the petty politics aside and lets be positive and due something that will benefit this great nation. 46 million people are uninsured we must do something about this.
    1. How can premiums go down? Quality of care will go down due to rationing of meds and services just as they have in Britain.
2.You will not see a raise in pay...Companies will be forged to pay more in taxes or to provide more coverage than ever before...In reality your wages will go down
3.I deal with this every day...You see I am a DISABLED VET. I am told all the time what the VA (Govt Health Care at it's finest) will not do for me to include a simple surgery to fix an aortic aneurysm (at ticking time bomb in my chest).
4.If everyone opts for the Govt plan the emergency rooms will be full to capacity and people will be turned away at the door.
    5. Do you really think small businesses have the funding to do this???? You obviuosly have never run a small business
6.Yeah right Social security is broke, Medicare is broke, The post office is broke. How gan the Govt be involved in anything without raising taxes? Spending or regulating it into nonexistence?

Healthcare reform starts with diet exercise and not smoking and drinking so dang much

    Just One Simple Question...

Can you name just one country where all of this has been the result of a government run healthcare system???

And don't tell me that America is different and better than any other country and we could make it work. America is the greatest country on the planet PRECISELY BECAUSE we have NOT engaged in this level of socialism.

Health care is fine in the US. It's the best in the world, bar none.

The problem is the price. That is what needs to be reformed. And you can't lower the cost by attacking the middle of the food chain, the insurance. You must attack the start, the price of drugs, the defensive medicine due to lawsuits, the costs of medical equiptment in every doctor's office or hospital, the uninsured of which many are illegals. Unless you do that, there will never be enough money to "reform health care".

If all you do is replace insurers with government, you'll have costs just the same as now but expenses will be higher as government is much more inefficient. Much, much more inefficient. Especially without any need to be efficient.

Wait until government can't pay the bills, you get either higher taxes or less medical care. There are no other alternatives, and there is no competition to provide any. Then our health care really will be worse than other countries.

Upset that an insurer is trying to reduce costs and won't approval certain medical care? Wait until the government makes the decisions and you have no legal recourse to fight it.

There is no free lunch. As long as things cost as much as they do, you will either pay your insurer or you will pay Uncle Sam, but pay you will.

    Are you nut's?

The only thing our government does well is fight wars, but with all the wimps in Washinton today I'm starting to worry about that also.

    Definition of DERANGEMENT:
Having faith in an industry that only breaks promises and bankrupts every program it has created (Medicare, medicaid, Post office, Amtrak...) to run the health care industry (which is 1/6 of the nations GDP), and want that corrupt and inept industry to make personal decisions that only a patient and doctor should be making.
Only a complete fool, or communist would want Washington's idea of health care reform to pass. Which one are you? My guess is you are a fool.
If you believe anything this administration is saying about health care reform then I have some great water-front property to sell you in Nevada.
The health care bill congress and Obama want to push through has nothing to do with health care. It has to do with taking away the rest of our freedoms, boosting up unions, and destroying the best health care in the world.
You wanna know why we pay the most for health care in the world? It's because we are the richest nation in the world and we can. If this ***** goes through were will the incentive for new research and techniques be coming from.
What we need to do is tweak the industry, not turn it on its head. We need portability to increase competition, stop pre-existing conditions from denying coverage, and liability reform. All of which will lower premiums and increase the quality of health care we are provided.
But you seem to be blinded by the lies of Obama and the rest of the moronic socialists in Washington. You do realize that you are in the minority of the country, and the VAST minority in this forum? The rest of us here have enough brains to see what is going on. Apparently you do not.
