If he's a Marxist, why isn't the government managing the day to day business of the banks and why aren't their profits being used for the benefit of the collective?
Freddie and Fannie have just been given the go-ahead to make even more sub-prime loans, all government-backed. The Federal government owns Freddie and Fannie, and hence most of the homes in the United States right now.

And banking-wise, Obama is controlling the banks, controlling their officers, controlling their debt... Same with Government Motors, etc., etc. When Uncle Sam is a major stockholder in a company, that company belongs to Uncle Sam.

And the money the government DOESN'T have, including the money it is taking away from private industry IS being used "for the benefit of the collective." About 47% of the people in this country do not pay income tax. The welfare state is humongous, and the government is taking care of millions of illegal aliens to boot. Another "stimulus bill" has just been passed. Guess who is getting the money?

Then, Obama is surrounded by Marxists, people he brought into his circle when he was elected. None of this is a secret, nor is it unknown. They themselves have stated that it's time to redistribute the wealth. Hello?

Honestly, I think you're just another troll up here trying to make trouble. Marxism and socialism are openly pushing for control right now, and it is obvious to anyone who cares to look past the propaganda.

Freddie and Fannie don't actually make loans.

banking-wise, Obama is controlling the banks, controlling their officers, controlling their debt.
You're confusing a little common sense regulation with state ownership and control of the means of production for the benefit of the people.

Same with Government Motors, etc., etc. When Uncle Sam is a major stockholder in a company, that company belongs to Uncle Sam.
That wound be be a reasonable and intelligent argument if the U. S. Government had acquired the stock in order to own and manage the means of production for the benefit of the people. However, those of us with decent educations know that wasn't the purpose of the government's actions.

the money the government DOESN'T have....the money it is taking away from private industry...
    Huh?

About 47% of the people in this country do not pay income tax. The welfare state is humongous, and the government is taking care of millions of illegal aliens to boot. Another "stimulus bill" has just been passed. Guess who is getting the money?
How does any of that make Fannie and Freddie Socialist Institutions.

    Obama is surrounded by Marxists
Since the U. S. is a Marxist Nation - in the sense that it has adopted many of the ideas advocate by the Marxists - I don't really see what the problem is.

it's time to redistribute the wealth.
You're a hoot, PC. We've been redistributing wealth for over nine decades.

Honestly, I think you're just another troll up here trying to make trouble.
    ur de troll, troll

They are already in control and have been for decades. You need to get over it and move on. Spend more time trying to get rich and less time worrying about creeping socialism.

Well, at least you're honest. You seem to have no problem with Marxism and socialism. Yes, it's true that Marxism and socialism have been knocking at the door since Woodrow Wilson took the presidency. But it hasn't openly tried to control the country until Obama took office. This is the first time in decades that the socialists have thought they could pull this off.

And because we were the frog in the hot water, we blithely cruised along not worrying because most of us were comfortable in our little cocoons. Now socialism is openly pushing for supremacy, thinking that they now have the momentum to get it done.

Oops! Those comfortable people who were too busy with their own lives have been slapped silly by the overt actions of Obama & Co. I think the take-over was considered a done thing a little too soon. See? Even you think that Marxism is here to stay. I may be wrong, but I don't think so. Before we fall to a European style of slavery and government control over every part of our lives, we will do everything within our power to see Obama fail. And if that means a new civil war, so be it.

This same thing happened around 233 years ago, and a few good men decided that a small government and freedom of the people was worth dying for. Men like that are still around.

Yes, we are. And the silhouettes I train with all have "SOCIALIST" in big letters on 'em. Can't miss.

    Outside Independence Hall when
the Constitutional Convention of 1787 ended,
Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin,
"Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?"
With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded,
"A republic, if you can keep it."

If by "Marxism" and "Socialism" you mean all of the ideas - such as our system of social insurance, the eight hour work day and regulation of child labor - we have adopted, that were advocated by Marxists and Socialists and currently enjoy the approval of the people, then you're correct. If you mean collective ownership and management of the means of production for the benefit of the people, then you're wrong.

Marxism and socialism have been knocking at the door since Woodrow Wilson took the presidency.
Please elaborate. I have no idea what you mean.

It hasn't openly tried to control the country until Obama took office.
Our Social Security System was adopted openly. It wasn't done in secret. The people elected the men who made the Social Security Act.

This is the first time in decades that the socialists have thought they could pull this off.
We pulled off the establishment of Social Security over seventy years ago.

And because we were the frog in the hot water, we blithely cruised along not worrying because most of us were comfortable in our little cocoons.
I actually tried to boil a frog once. He just jumped out.

Now socialism is openly pushing for supremacy, thinking that they now have the momentum to get it done.
Social Security achieved supremacy back in the 1930's.

Those comfortable people who were too busy with their own lives have been slapped silly by the overt actions of Obama & Co.
He didn't slapped me silly. I'm still filthy rich and getting richer every day.

I think the take-over was considered a done thing a little too soon.
Socialists, the real Socialists - the ones who believe in the collective ownership and management of the means of production for the benefit of the people - always take over profitable companies, not companies that are bankrupt.

If you don't mind me asking: How much formal education do you have?

    Marxism is here to stay.
I doubt that. At one time they thought laissez faire was here to stay. Things change. Who knows what sort of economic system will prevail a hundred years from now.

Before we fall to a European style of slavery and government control over every part of our lives
You've obviously never been to Europe.

We will do everything within our power to see Obama fail. And if that means a new civil war, so be it. This same thing happened around 233 years ago, and a few good men decided that a small government and freedom of the people was worth dying for. Men like that are still around.
You need to quit wasting all of your time watching Faux News, quit worrying about creeping socialism, get an decent education, work hard at something you love and become rich like me.
