When I chose to carry concealed, I wasn't aware of the 𝗮𝗻𝘅𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 and 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 that would creep into my mind:

𝘞𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘮𝘦?

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘐'𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘐 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯?

As I eventually realized, carrying concealed is no small decision: It requires one to assume a position of good-will and selflessness that ultimately could put themselves at risk. I choose to carry because I believe I am that person. I am that person who cares about the safety of myself and others.

I'm willing to be alert, aware, and careful when carrying in public.
