I tried twice more and I get nothing from your blog link.

This may be where all the confusion is coming from in this thread.
Strange. I just checked the link in the OP, and it takes me to my website. Where does it take you?

I live in SC Mr. Canuck and if there is one occasion that I would want to CC at night it is when I am out in a restaurant, which usually serves alcohol. If there is one time during my times being CC that is most important to me it is this occasion. I am usually a glass of water person or maybe a beer so the alcohol does not mean anything to me, but the going and coming from that restaurant to and from my parked car that is on a darkened street or parking garage at say 10PM gets my situational awareness very very active, particularly since I cannot be CC because the restaurant (and this is most restaurants) serves alcohol. I am not a 24/7 CCer and, for all intents and purposes, my CCWP does me very little good (IMO) when its primary purpose is not allowed. The idea that being CC in a "bar", which, in this discussion is really moot--it is a restaurant that serves alcohol---always seems to end up with the anti CC crowd somehow making this out as the next "shootout at the OK corral", which is a ridiculous assumption but plays well with the anti CC crowd and particularly the press, where "bleeds it leads" and anything to hype a story is the bottom line.
I can't argue with you. I'm putting in as much time as I have available to get restaurant carry passed. In January, we will need to turn up the heat again to make it happen. I'm glad we can count on you to write emails and make phone calls.

The term "bar" was used in the title of the thread because it was used in the story that I blogged about. I think we all know it's used incorrectly by the media.

I get a page that says "South Carolina Gun Blog" in black letters on a blue background. Below that the entire page is on a white background, and in red letters it says "Guns Save Lives", there is an advertisement for | Fully Informed Jury Association and that is all. This was one of my main points as to "only producing a blog", I couldn't understand why you kept pointing to a site that had no information on it. Apparently, there is something blocking me from seeing what is on that blog.

Being that it is a SC blog and I'm just north of the Mason-Dixon might have something to do with it.

Keep up the good fight on that one. OH just recently got rid of theirs. It's a bad law (I use the term loosely) and needs to be rescinded.

But then when I jump through all those hoops to obtain my permit so that I am now able to protect myself and my family, what's the one place that most families go together outside of the home? Restaurants (almost all of which serve alcohol). And they're going to tell me that's one of the places that I'm off limits in carrying? No sir South Carolina, I've got the 14th amendment backing me up. Your laws don't mean jack!
We all gotta do what we gotta do, but your last statement sounds like you do not care about the limits of the law. If you believe in the "what ifs" and one happens to you and you defend yourself and you injure or kill someone--I guarantee you that you WILL care about the limits of the law--either in jail or either in depleting your personal resources in a costly civil suit.

In that "what if" situation, what is the alternative? My funeral? My wife or child's funeral? You just described a scenario of "what if you're carrying somewhere you're not supposed to and you need your gun just as you would in those places you are allowed to carry?" Which brings me back to what I've always said...if I don't think the law really has the ability or the intention to keep me safe, I'm going to do whatever I gotta do to protect myself and my family.

I see the libtard quotes on that page. I generally use Chrome, but have Firefox and Explorer (when absolutely necessary). Your original blog link did not work on either of them. *shrugs*
