    Exclamation What is your trigger???

Think about this for a while...What could possibly trigger your fight or flight response in a survival bug out situation.
Is it water coming up to the back door?
Is it black helicopters circling overhead?
Is it a news report of matial law?
Is it a sighting of UN blue helmets on soverign US soil?

Every one and every thing has a trigger for fight or flight.

Make sure that if and when you personally decide to bug out that you have followed the appropriate response and not lingered too long in the hot-zone what ever that may be.

Remember it is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

That being said practice doing without a few things here and there and get your priorities together...you may just need your preconditioned responses sooner than you think.

By MARK STEVENSON, Associated Press Writer Mark Stevenson, Associated Press Writer – Thu Nov 12, 12:06 am ET

MEXICO CITY – Business groups in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez said Wednesday they are calling for United Nations peacekeepers to quell the drug-related violence that has given their city one of the highest homicide rates in the world.

Groups representing maquiladora assembly plants, retailers and other businesses said they will submit a request to the Mexican government and the Inter American Human Rights Commission to ask the U.N. to send help.

"This is a proposal ... for international forces to come here to help out the domestic (security) forces," said Daniel Murguia, president of the Ciudad Juarez chapter of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism. "There is a lot of extortions and robberies of businesses. Many businesses are closing."

The government has sent more than 5,000 soldiers to the city across the border from El Paso, Texas, but killings, extortions and kidnappings continue.

Ciudad Juarez has had 1,986 homicides through mid-October this year — averaging seven a day in the city of 1.5 million people.

"We have seen the U.N. peacekeepers enter other countries that have a lot fewer problems than we have," Murguia said.

The groups appeared to be motivated by a sense of desperation and deep disappointment with the government's efforts to control crime in the city.

Soledad Maynez, president of the Ciudad Juarez Association of Maquiladoras, said the joint police-army operation to quell killings and crime have yielded no results.

Maynez said business and civic groups want U.N. peacekeepers or advisers in Ciudad Juarez.

"What we are asking for with the blue helmets (U.N. peacekeepers) is that we know they are the army of peace, so we could use not only the strategies they have developed in other countries ... but they also have technology," Maynez said.

Mexican troops have both helped train new local police recruits and taken on some patrolling tasks in the city.

But a turf battle between rival drug gangs has not yielded, and extortionists and thieves — some probably related to the drug cartels — have taken advantage of the situation to target businesses. Maynez said thousands of shops, stores and other firms have closed or moved out of the city because of the situation.

Maynez said the United States could also contribute to the solution, adding that the U.S. might be forced to in its own interests.

"We know that sooner or later, the violence will spill over into our sister city of El Paso, Texas," he said.

  5. Well I'ma be honest with myself

Well see its like this i dont have anything specific but we will go ahead and assume in all these situations im either in danger or trouble....

1--Now the bad thing is if im in my house or anywhere and its dark and someone jumps out at me and they are very close my first instinct is to run then think about shooting/defending etc...

2--If i see someone coming I prepare for them and get ready to fight and get THEM by surprise; when i should probably try to get away, maybe im wrong but im just being honest with myself really
I mean I dont want to pretend im a bad ass that when someone startles me i automaticly attack and break their arm or whatever. I mean it just doesnt work that way my first reaction is to jump make and gather my thoughts: if only for a couple of seconds.

However If someone gets the jump on me and the first thing they do is attack before i even realize whats happend then I DO go straight to killer instinct mode(if I wasnt "got").... It just depends on the fractions of seconds really.
I wrestled for 8 years, boxed for year and a half, and trained for MMA but it doesnt really matter when someone "scares" you. I mean like you said its the F or F Trigger. But i will say that it only governs your actions for a split second or two then the training kicks in...

I guess I really don't have a "specific trigger" as there are alot of things going on right now. It could be anything from a hurricane to a nuke attack. I think the Blue Helmet, Black Helicopter thing is going to build over a period of time. They won't just march in anytime soon. BUT, with the down fall of the economy, unemployment, turds in Washington selling us out to make a personal profit, and so many other small flames under the woodpile, who knows. I personally think it will be maximum civil unrest, rioting and revolution when the manure hits the air circulation device. It's best right now to prepare to bug in if you live in a rural or outlying suburb, and be ready to haul-ass if you live in the city or urban area and take what you have with you. Most of my urban dwelling buddies, have storage buildings away from the city area, with plans to bug out and grab it on the way. But I really don't think people should have a specific "trigger". I think we will see the handwriting on the wall when it starts getting bad enough to take action.

From the beautiful south Texas city of El Paso - if you hear gunfire, and you're not at the range, its bug out bag time!

Yes, I do have a CHL, go armed everywhere outside the house and have a place to go.

    It's best to be prepared!
