Quit Listening to Rush Limbaugh if You Want to Get Things Done
Obama: Quit Listening to Rush Limbaugh if You Want to Get Things Done - Presidential Politics | Political News - FOXNews.com

WASHINGTON -- President Obama warned Republicans on Capitol Hill today that they need to quit listening to radio king Rush Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.
"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package.
One White House official confirmed the comment but said he was simply trying to make a larger point about bipartisan efforts.
"There are big things that unify Republicans and Democrats," the official said. "We shouldn't let partisan politics derail what are very important things that need to get done."
That wasn't Obama's only jab at Republicans today.
While discussing the stimulus package with top lawmakers in the White House's Roosevelt Room, President Obama shot down a critic with a simple message.
"I won," he said, according to aides who were briefed on the meeting. "I will trump you on that."
The response was to the objection by Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) to the president's proposal to increase benefits for low-income workers who don't owe federal income taxes.

Rush gets on my nerves sometimes always, the biggest problem for Obama is the guy is 95% correct on all reports.

It will be interesting how long it takes Obama to alienate everyone in congress. All we have to do is let him be the lying back stabbing person he is and hopefully his false facade will be seen

Wilcow is more my style (sirius/xm patriot). This guy actually gets Both sides on his show and absolutly crushes the Dems and their bs points of view. And calls them out of their socialist and communist views. even brought up the point of what disarmament did to The russians, the jews, etc..

Rush and Shaun Hanity brought up things about Obama that took the main stream media months to bring to light, and some were never were brought up.

Such as he is going to:

Stop development of our nuclear defense system

Stop development of our satellite defense system

Sit down and negociate with terrorist leaders

Stop the war in Iraq and bring our troops home as soon as he gets in office even if the war hasn't been won.

Promote Global warming taxes (on carbon emission)

Federal ban on CC
Start a civil youth group, for what? (To protect the liberal agenda)
Some on things he still will do even if he said he wouldn’t.

With Rush bringing up those that he associated with in the past, his past voting records, and his past views, I can understand why Obama wouldn’t want anyone listening to Rush.

I like Shaun Hanity he gets on Obama's nerves more than Rush does and I think more Republicans need to quite trying to get along with Democrats and start reading their Constitution.

I hate talk radio; I'd much rather read a well-written article than listen to a paid mouth ramble, disgress, and dissemble.

However, I just might have to take a radio to work and tune it in just to annoy the 'bamatons...

The only real problem I have with Rush is he is not near enough to the right for me. Or what I should say what the liberal press refers to as extreme right. What they call extreme right I call dead center.

But he is right a heap of the time... and it is easer to not listen to PEBHO and his wife whining about the dolls that look like his kids...

I'm not sure what 'Today' is for you, but for me it's January 24, 2009.

That means his holiness BHO is POTUS.:to_pick_ones_nose3:

He's actually POTUS. If he'd been nominated for SCOTUS, he probably wouldn't have gotten past the congressional hearings.

Fixed. I shouldn't read more than one thread at once--and I even proofread it after it posted.

As for getting past the Senate--I'm pretty sure the Democrats can have anyone they want given their current majority. I don't trust the Republicans to maintain anything worthwhile, let alone a filibuster.

Surely, he is to the right, but he's rarely right.

Been a regular listener to the EIB since the Clinton era, N if you weed past the shouting, and his smug attitude, he is correct a bunch of the time. I know Rush's all knowing, I am the king of the air attitude can be hard to deal with, but if you listen to any of the Patriot 144 jockeys they all have the same attitude, and at times get downright rude hanging up on people in the middle of their trying to make a point, right or wrong they at least owes his listening audience the ability to hear the nut jobs on the other side.:nono:

For hoots if you want help learn tolerance for this type of shock jock then go the the Sirius black only Chanel, forget the Chanel no but they preach black supremacy, white hate, and whittie is bad, white can do no good, to the extreme, and yes blacks do call in with opposing views and get hammered by the host.

N one more thing until they actually produce and publish a valid US birth certificate he is PEBHO, which brings us to this... Were someone to suddenly produce rock solid evidence he is not of US birth or valid a citizen what do you think would happen next???:crazy_pilot:

Limbaugh Responds to Obama

[Byron York]

According to an account in the New York Post, President Barack Obama yesterday told Republican leaders, "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done." With George W. Bush now off the stage, it may be that Obama and some of his fellow Democrats view Limbaugh, and not John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, or any other elected official, as the true leader of the Republican opposition. This morning I asked Rush for his thoughts on all this, and here is his response:

There are two things going on here. One prong of the Great Unifier's plan is to isolate elected Republicans from their voters and supporters by making the argument about me and not about his plan. He is hoping that these Republicans will also publicly denounce me and thus marginalize me. And who knows? Are ideological and philosophical ties enough to keep the GOP loyal to their voters? Meanwhile, the effort to foist all blame for this mess on the private sector continues unabated when most of the blame for this current debacle can be laid at the feet of the Congress and a couple of former presidents. And there is a strategic reason for this.

Secondly, here is a combo quote from the meeting:

"If we don't get this done we (the Democrats) could lose seats and I could lose re-election. But we can't let people like Rush Limbaugh stall this. That's how things don't get done in this town."

To make the argument about me instead of his plan makes sense from his perspective. Obama's plan would buy votes for the Democrat Party, in the same way FDR's New Deal established majority power for 50 years of Democrat rule, and it would also simultaneously seriously damage any hope of future tax cuts. It would allow a majority of American voters to guarantee no taxes for themselves going forward. It would burden the private sector and put the public sector in permanent and firm control of the economy. Put simply, I believe his stimulus is aimed at re-establishing "eternal" power for the Democrat Party rather than stimulating the economy because anyone with a brain knows this is NOT how you stimulate the economy. If I can be made to serve as a distraction, then there is that much less time debating the merits of this TRILLION dollar debacle.

Obama was angry that Merrill Lynch used $1.2 million of TARP money to remodel an executive suite. Excuse me, but didn't Merrill have to hire a decorator and contractor? Didn't they have to buy the new furnishings? What's the difference in that and Merrill loaning that money to a decorator, contractor and goods supplier to remodel Warren Buffet's office? Either way, stimulus in the private sector occurs. Are we really at the point where the bad PR of Merrill getting a redecorated office in the process is reason to smear them? How much money will the Obamas spend redecorating the White House residence? Whose money will be spent? I have no problem with the Obamas redoing the place. It is tradition. 600 private jets flown by rich Democrats flew into the Inauguration. That's fine but the auto execs using theirs is a crime? In both instances, the people on those jets arrived in Washington wanting something from Washington, not just good will.

If I can be made to serve as a distraction, then there is that much less time debating the merits of the trillion dollar debacle.

One more thing, Byron. Your publication and website have documented Obama's ties to the teachings of Saul Alinksy while he was community organizing in Chicago. Here is Rule 13 of Alinksy's Rules for Radicals:

"Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."

Um, nope, I disagree, he is not correct a bunch of the time. He is rarely correct, I'd even go so far as to say that in my opinion he is not now nor has he ever been correct. (I stipulate that yours, mine, everyone's opinion can be right for them.) I do not need to provide examples. There is enough fodder on the web that everyone can see for themselves. He is NOT tolerant of anyone who is not "as white a male as he is," or as macho, or who has any other opinion contradictory to his opinion. He does not care to learn a thing from anyone who calls into his show. Never! His demeanor and attitude is small minded and immature, even juvenile when he attacks people personally rather than the ideas they phone in to present. He is rude, offensive, racist, sexist, and a liar extraordinaire. I understand that the gist of the man and his attitude, his "whack-ness!" is all for show and money. But, in my opinion, he's as uninformative, incorrect, and whacked as is Shock Jock Howard Stern, whom I similarly abhor. But neither one care what I think. I'm betting that they are both laughing all the way to the bank.
