    Suicide by cop.

    Otherwise the perp would have taken the child and run.

    If you are that 'unsure' about your own personal abilities in utilizing whatever means may be necessary to protect your own child/family-members, then I seriously suggest that you should probably get some more firearm and self defense training to help to better prepare yourself.

    And no, I'm not claiming to be some kind of internet 'tough guy' or the 'toughest s.o.b. on the planet' as your post above seems to suggest.
    I'm merely a husband and a father like most of us that are here on this forum.

    Just because you may not be able to 'cowboy up' if some demented scumbag ever decided to abduct your child in front of you at knifepoint, that does not mean that the majority of us other members would not be able to effectively 'cowboy up' if ever needed to.

    Im perfectly confident and realistic in my abilities. More gun training, not necessary. Do your thing when the time comes. Im just saying, nobody knows until it happens. We can talk hypotheticals until our tongues fall out but it doesn't at all mean we'll do what we say.

    I personally don't believe anyone can have too much training, but that's just me. I could train 4 hours a day for the rest of my life, if I could afford it, and still not have enough training. There is always room for improvement, at least in my case.
    Not picking on you Armored, just sayin'.

    Perfect example: IF as a CC passerby you happened to observe this, and, you shot and killed him, What makes it different than Mr. George Zimmerman? The cameras? Maybe, But this is where it gets stickey. If he was planning "Death By Cop" You might have freaked him out and he may have done something terrible.
    Personally... I hope the stain comes out of the floor and the kids hearing is OK. That's where my concern kinda drifts off.

    Completely agree. Proper training does wonders for performance.
    Also agree with not being able to afford it.

    Haha alrighty. You don't take me seriously, I won't take you seriously. We're all good. Don't sit here and preach to me about how I'm trying to act like a tough guy when all I said is I would keep calm and defend my child. A life or or death situation is a life or death situation whether its you, your child, or your best friend. If you're not able to keep calm and think during said situation, then I think maybe your one these so called people, that you believe shouldn't be armed.

    I didn't realize I was talking to you jcreek. I stand by my previous statement. You can talk about it all you want, being about it is a whole other story. None of us will know unless we're in that situation. Im just saying that arming a hysterical woman would not work out for anyone. But some people believe she should have saw him coming, like they would have got the jump on this guy. Just unreal thinking in my opinion. I see I struck a nerve with you. We're all in the same community, just having a nice debate. If I offended you then I apologize. I meant no disrespect. We aren't in the movies so believing that someone can hit a kill shot with a person holding their child at knifepoint seems far fetched. No parent under those circumstances will be that calm or steady. Now you put yourself in that situation with someone else's kid on the line. I'll give you that the pressure will be on but it will be less and more likely able to function differently.

    You bloviated;

    "I'm just saying that arming a hysterical woman would not work out for anyone."

    You sir are a sexist.
    Any woman is more than capable of handling a firearm in a self-defense situation with just a little training imvho.

    Bloviated? So all I have to do is put IMVHO at the end of everything I write and I'll be given a free pass for anything written? I share my opinion, get attacked for it and im the pompous one? Look in the mirror before passing judgment. We're all entitled to think what we want. You're no better than I or the next poster Outlaw. Go make your own website and control what's written. Sexist? You know nothing about me. Real Christian attitude ya have there. I'll be sure to avoid your posts because you are nothing short of narcissistic. When all is said and done you will have done nothing to help further the second amendment or gun ownership by living on USA Carry, making snide comments and judgments toward people who are on here for the same reason as you. Ha what a laughable gun community we have here.
