PHILADELPHIA, PA – In Philadelphia’s Oxford Circle neighborhood, a 48-year-old man was shot during a gun battle with an attempted robbery suspect. The incident, which occurred around 7 p.m. last Thursday on the 6100 block of Shisler Street, was captured on surveillance video, including the sound of gunshots.
The victim reported to police that he was exiting his vehicle when approached by four masked men. One of the suspects, armed with a gun, pointed it at the victim. In response, the victim, who legally carries a firearm, fired four shots at the suspect.
During the exchange, the suspect returned fire, hitting the victim in the hip. He was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition. The suspects managed to flee the scene, and it is currently unknown if any were injured in the shootout.
