LAS VEGAS, NV — At SHOT Show 2026, Staccato unveiled the latest addition to its HD series: the Staccato HD C4X, a compensated compact carry pistol that builds on the proven 2011 platform. Officially announced just one day before Industry Day at the Range, the HD C4X blends concealability and competition-grade shootability into one refined package.
Based on the earlier C3.6, the HD C4X features a 4-inch compensated barrel and all-new captive flat wire recoil system, designed to reduce muzzle rise and smooth out recoil impulse. In live fire, it delivered controllable, fast follow-up shots while maintaining a slim, carry-friendly profile.
Built for everyday carry and duty alike, the HD C4X was co-developed with a law enforcement special-surveillance unit, incorporating direct input from professionals in the field. The result is a precision-built, compact platform offering 15+1 capacity, ambidextrous controls, Glock-pattern magazine compatibility, and a crisp single-action trigger with a 4–4.5 lb break.
The pistol is optics-ready using Staccato’s HD HOST™ mounting system, giving users the flexibility to run a red dot while retaining co-witnessed sights. With a lightweight 7075 aluminum billet-machined frame and a total unloaded weight of just 24.5 oz, the HD C4X delivers full-size performance in a compact, EDC-friendly format.
Available beginning February 16 through authorized dealers and online, the Staccato HD C4X starts at $3,499 and ships with two 15-round magazines. Three configurations will be offered at launch, allowing buyers to tailor the pistol to their preferences.
This release marks not just the expansion of the HD line but also a new standard for what concealed carry pistols can offer in 2026. With shootability once reserved for larger, competition-focused guns, the HD C4X delivers a confident carry platform without compromise.
Staccato also used the SHOT Show spotlight to announce the Staccato Training Group (STG), led by Max Michel and a roster of elite instructors, offering live and online training for professionals and responsibly armed citizens. The training division will roll out its national certification program later this year.
For shooters looking for the best balance of carry size and shootability, the HD C4X offers what may be the most refined carry gun yet to come out of the 2011 evolution.
