LAS VEGAS, NV — At Industry Day at the Range during SHOT Show 2026, Viridian unveiled the RFX1 Green Dot Reflex Sight custom-designed for the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0, offering a precision aiming solution for one of the most widely carried micro pistols in the U.S. market.
Unlike other micro optics, the RFX1 is engineered specifically to match the Bodyguard 2.0’s slide geometry, serrations, and profile. It mounts seamlessly via a dovetail insert, eliminating the need for milling, adapter plates, or custom fitting. The result is an optic that not only installs cleanly but looks like it came from the factory that way .
During range testing, the RFX1 delivered noticeably improved accuracy, particularly by addressing a common user complaint: iron sight misalignment leading to leftward shot placement. With the 3 MOA green dot and crystal-clear multi-coated glass, hits were fast, accurate, and centered.
Despite its small footprint, the RFX1 offers elite features:
- Auto-brightness sensor adjusts the dot intensity to match lighting conditions
- Viridian’s INSTANT-ON® activation system turns the optic on when the gun is moved and off when stationary
- Shockproof and IPX4 water-resistant aluminum housing
- Up to 30,000 hours of battery life on a single CR1632 cell
- Just 0.53 oz in weight, keeping the pistol lightweight and EDC-friendly
As the smallest reflex sight currently available, the RFX1 proves that micro pistols don’t have to compromise on precision. It offers unlimited eye relief, intuitive targeting, and a low-profile fit that doesn’t interfere with concealed carry or holstering.
The RFX1 includes everything needed for installation: the optic, dovetail mounting plate, battery, tools, and even a Viridian cleaning cloth. With a lifetime limited warranty, it’s clearly built to last.
After putting a few rounds through it at SHOT, the upgrade felt immediate and impactful. As someone who carries a Bodyguard 2.0 and has struggled with the factory sights, I’ll be installing the RFX1 on both of mine and doing a full review soon.
If you’re a Bodyguard 2.0 owner looking to fix your pistol’s factory sight alignment or improve speed and accuracy, this is the optic to watch in 2026.
