The officers and board of directors for the WVCDL have done much to advance and defend our Second Amendment rights in West Virginia. However, our efforts are in vain without a critical component. And that component is your support. In the end, it is not Jim, Art, myself, or any of the other board members that matter. It is you. It is YOUR voice that has the real impact in the legislature.
With this in mind, I am going to do something that I have never seen another grassroots organization do. I am going to request a level of accountability of you. I am going to utilize a gauge to see how many of you actually care enough to take action on the issues we work to defend.
When you have read this email, and when you have acted upon it, I want you to send me an email describing in brief exactly what you did. You can just “reply” to this one, for convenience sake.

Click their names, and then send them an email. This email should be in strong opposition to HB2346. All of the reasons for opposing this bill are present in Jim’s prior email this morning. But allow me to summarize. This allows you to be stripped of your rights at the mere ALLEGATION of domestic violence. That’s right. Someone you live with or are related to merely has to point his or her finger at you, and you will be stripped of your rights. No judge. No review. They say so, and that’s that. You’ll then be committed to a lengthy process to recover your rights, during which time you will be barred from your right to self defense.
When you have called or emailed and urged your delegate to oppose this bill, reply to this message. Give me a brief description of what you said or sent. Forward this message to your friends and ask them to do the same.
I want to walk into the legislature armed with thousands of emails like that.
The burden is on YOU now. You have to stop this bill. We cannot do it without you.
