Time is sure flying these days. It seems like it was just Christmas and we were trying to come up with the perfect gift idea for our spouses and loved ones.
Now that Valentine’s Day is almost here you’re probably trying to come up with even more ideas to let that special person in your life know how much you care about them and their well being.
To help you accomplish this (and to keep you from having to run to Wal-Mart Friday night to grab the first card and candy you see) here are a few gift ideas your loved one may appreciate slightly more.
1. A Date at the Range – Your local shooting range will probably allow you to buy gift cards so you and your loved one can have a date night at the range. If your spouse is the competitive type (and it won’t end badly) have some fun competitions with them. Take the Dot Drill Target and see who can hit all the dots the fastest. See who can shoot five shots at one of the dots and have the best grouping.
After the range, go out to dinner together and talk about your shooting experience and, of course, decide on what gun you should buy next.
2. Renovo Trio Water Filter – Nothing says “I love you” like “I hope you don’t die of thirst.” This water filter is perfect for your escape bag, to take camping and hiking, and to store in your home. It won’t take up much space and can filter up to 264 gallons before you need to replace the filter. To put that into perspective, if you have two people who each drink a gallon of water a day you can survive for over 130 days thanks to this tiny filter.
Besides just giving your spouse the filter alone, you could give them this filter along with a note that invites them on a date for a hiking or camping trip.
3. LaserLyte Training Barrel – If you can’t make it out to the shooting range for a date, create your own fun at home. LaserLyte just released a drop in barrel for the Glock 19 so it’s never been easier to train at home and save money on ammo.
4. The Richest Man in Babylon – It might seem a little strange to have this classic book listed among gift items. But I believe this is one of the most important financial books that anyone can read. It teaches you how to be financially secure, which is a key to survival in today’s world. Not only should you give this book to your spouse, but it should be a gift to all of your loved ones.
