A man attempting to break into a residence in Austin, TX, was shot and killed by a female resident in an act of self-defense, according to a police report released on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
Austin Police Department officers and medical services responded to a call of a break-in at a residence in the 7600 block of Bethune Avenue at approximately 5:31 a.m. The female caller reported that a man, Samuel Wolf, was attempting to knock down their door while they were trying to hold it closed.
According to the police report, Wolf managed to enter the home through a window. The resident inside the home fired a weapon at Wolf in self-defense, and he died on the scene. The police arrived shortly after and launched an investigation.
