Florida’s open carry bill HB 517 is in the House Judiciary Committee tomorrow at 8am. It provides four things:
- Permit holders can openly carry
- Anyone may store a firearm in their vehicle wherever it may be lawfully parked;
- Authorizesr the Department of Agriculture to take fingerprints (in addition to district police offices which will increase accessibility)
- Repeal of Florida’s ban on long gun purchases in most other states
