Florida Open Carry Bill in Judiciary Committee Tomorrow

Florida’s open carry bill HB 517 is in the House Judiciary Committee tomorrow at 8am.  It provides four things:

  • Permit holders can openly carry
  • Anyone may store a firearm in their vehicle wherever it may be lawfully parked;
  • Authorizesr the Department of Agriculture to take fingerprints (in addition to district police offices which will increase accessibility)
  • Repeal of Florida’s ban on long gun purchases in most other states

Please email members of the Judiciary Committee and ask them to support this bill.
