A North Carolina man discovered another man breaking into his home in the afternoon, in which he shot and struck the suspect in the leg.
The shooting in North Raleigh is being described as self-defense by officers, and the suspect was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
It is unclear if the homeowner was inside the home when the suspect was breaking in or if he caught him breaking in as he got home. The police describe the shooting as self-defense, so hopefully, the homeowner will not face charges.
