A Montana man was forced to use his gun in self-defense against a home intruder that broke into his home after the homeowner gave the intruder repeated warnings.
This incident took place shortly before 4 PM this past Sunday. The homeowner found someone trying to break into his home. The homeowner stayed inside and repeatedly warned the man to stop.
But the warnings did nothing to stop the man from breaking into the home through a screen door and then through the front door. Upon entering the residence, the homeowner shot the intruder multiple times.
The homeowner called the police to report the incident. The wounded suspect was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The homeowner in this incident seems to have done everything right. He stayed inside and armed himself. He didn’t open the door to investigate. Even though the intruder was able to gain access, the homeowner was armed and ready to defend himself.
