Illinois Concealed Carry Bill Not Dead Yet

Legislation that would have allowed citizens to carry concealed firearms may have been defeated Thursday in Springfield, but the measure is not dead.

State Rep. Mike Unes, R-East Peoria, a chief co-sponsor of the bill, said discussion of the bill will continue, and it could be brought back to the House of Representatives floor for a second vote before the current legislative session is scheduled to expire at the end of May.

    we are the only statethat dont have it. apparently the conceal carry works or all the other states wouldnt have it . but illinois is to dumb to see that.

  • Gov. Quinn abolished the death penalty, cutting state’s budget including human services, raising taxes, shooing away companies here (would increase unemployment), and won’t let us defend ourselves?? receipe for crime rates to sky rocket. at least I voted for the other guy.
