BUCKHEAD, GA – A man, possibly armed with a handgun, attempted to rob a nail salon, but after everyone ignored him, he left with only a cell phone.
Last month, a man entered a nail salon, yelling at everyone to give him their money. His right hand was inside a bag, giving the impression that he had a gun. He confronted two women who were sitting in chairs by the door.
He then attempted to scare the man working behind the counter but didn’t give in to the robber’s demands. The suspect then confronted a woman who tried to leave and stole her cell phone that she was holding. She then texted the nail salon but stayed just outside of the door.
After a few more seconds of the suspect telling everyone to “give him everything,” he realized his demands were being ignored and decided to cut his losses and leave the store.
While this is some of the most amusing surveillance footage I’ve seen in a while, it presents an opportunity for us, as legally armed citizens, to consider as a training scenario to mentally rehearse. Watching the video, you can see multiple times that an armed citizen could have stopped the suspect had there been one in the salon. Also, if you can escape the situation, you must leave the area and call the police. Don’t just stand around the exit waiting for the robber to attack you again on his way out potentially.
That’s some funny stuff. He should be glad no one was concealed carrying and shot the idiot.
